How come they've all been downrated so much? *shrugs* Anyway, there are some pretty hot geeks out there!

I think alot of it isn't people from wired, more public submissions, given the lack of detail about alot of people.

Elika is on the list. LAWL.

Umm not really. Bluey's a brunette, Felicia Day is only a natural brunette.

This list popped up last week and as others (elsewhere) have said; its pretty damn pathetic as other than that one disturbingly naked guy its mostly women in various state of undress, and a few men (in full clothing). Plus a lot of them are people that have played geeks/sci-fi icons rather than actual geeks themselves. And its missing Zachery Levi, whose a huge geek :p

Personally I'd say it belongs more in the hot people thread as its missing the vital 'importance' part of Dan Dare's equation. :heh:

I'd like to see Myleene Klass as a vigilante.

I hate how the Tories are jumping on every one of these cases saying "we'd change it we'd change it!" like the nerdy kid that runs for class elections and promises everything just to get votes.

I fundamentally distrust tories down to what basically equates to a molecular level. My entire being gags at the thought of them in power. They're full of shit.

Which is inevitable, Labour are a mess but Tories are worse. However I wouldn't be surprised if most people bought the Tory line of "Labour broke the UK, we can fix it!" Happened in 79 (although granted they had a more...charismatic(?) candidate than Cameron).

I can only hope and pray there are not enough morons in this country that would vote Brown in again (well not again this would be the first time). In terms of charisma Cameron wins hands down over Mr i have the personality of a house brick Brown.

Yeah your right i mean nearly 13 years of labour policy has done us a world of good. I will admit the Tories have there flaws. But i fell they are by far the less of two evils. They have had there chance and in fairness have sold out our today and tomorrow to pay for yesterday. Labour are run by the unions and the unions are run by commies. I will stick with the toffs. I think its very sad that our leader has had to resort to taking pops at our next PM having gone to Eton, so the comment about school kids definitely goes both ways.

In my opinion the best labour can hope for is a hung parliament ad that the liberals are going to go to there side, which is far from certain.

This is the goverment, not a high school popularity contest. Personality, at the end of the day, should mean shit.

Yes, Brown's a bit of a clunker and as interesting as unbuttered toast but the Tories are...well, I shudder to think.

Charisma is all well and good but the tories are full of shit on policy.

And Labour aren't? They've had 13 years to make significant improvements, but still we haven't seen them.

We had a mock general election in our school, in which the pupils voted to keep the Tories in power, and the teachers voted Labour in without a single other vote cast for any other party.

I met one of my old teachers when I came back at Christmas - he and everyone else believe things have never been worse in schools.

I have to state that politically, I'm non-aligned, so I don't give a rats ass so long as whoever it is does the right thing for the country. Right now I don't believe either party has the ability to do right, the Conservatives through a lack of policy, the Labour government don't deserve another chance either.

Fair point, but come on there must be a limit. This guy goes around the world representing the UK. It cant be doing us any favours. Blair was a lying grinning fool, but at least he had a soul. Brown might as well be dead in fact i think he very well might be.

Its a sad state of affairs but in my opinion its a case of lesser of two evils. None have that kind of "we must vote for them, they'd improve everything!" spark (if you ignore politco talk and the press) and while the Tories did improve some stuff last time they also bought a lot of stuff back. I would not like to work under the Tory government.

Their whole policy seems to be "Look at Labour, they are a mess".

Honestly, that's pretty much Labour's policy as well.

As far as I'm concerned they can all fuck off and die. Especially Labour for spending my tuition fees on wars that don't end.

Your tuition fees pay for your tuition or am i missing something??? Wars do end but not if you try to fight them on a shoe string as Labour have been doing for he past nearly 9 years.

Why can't the Liberals win an election? :( My hope would be that the Tories getting voted in this year revitalises the Labour party. They would come back with creative policies that worked and become much less authoritarian. Maybe they would even let a socialist in the cabinet o_O

That would be my hope anyway, but I sincerely doubt it would happen.

No but what are tuition fees 3K a year? My guess is that doent really cover the actuall cost of a year at uni. So its not like you are being robbed of your fees to fund a war. The ammount of money raised from tuition fees is probably the square root of fuck all when compared to the cost of fighting n afghanistan.

I think we are currenly out of Iraq as we were not allowed to stay any longer under iraqi law. We should be going bac with a small team to train there navy once there is a bill passed by there govenment.

The news you are refering to is Afghanistan, we will be there for far more than 18 months. But then again that is what is needed. Dontget me wrong i do not like war (as some of you think) but im a realist it is needed to bring stability to a region. And to at least help make us more safe back home. That news also said something like 70% of Afghans thaught we were heading in the right direction, and wanted us there.

Compare the 3k to how many students actually go to uni, sheffield alone has 50k students x 3k. You also get funded for places to live, again sometimes up to 4k!

So really they could easily waste it on the war. I don't know these things, I'm just arguing that if the money were given for free to daft or myself then we probably wouldn't complain.

Plus the fact it used to be £1,000 to go to uni, now is £3,000 and theres talk of raising it up to be £10,000. Surely the cost of running a university hasn't changed that much in a space of a few years so where the hell is all this money going?
