There is meant to be big news today regarding exclusivity or something of a game. For 360 that is and it will annoy PS3 owners.

Isn't it obviously the next Splinter Cell game? or is that just a given due to the timed or w/e exclusivity of the series on Xbox / 360 in the past...

The biggest one that would annoy PS3 owners would be FFXIII but that won't happen...

Maybe an exclusive Metal Gear title on 360... >.>

Bioshock 2 timed exclusivity?

Two Worlds II...

...

*leaves thread* :p

See Alien vs. Predator looks like it might have what I like in FPS games: Cool, meaty guns and fairly scary enemies. Nice graphics for a multi-format game by the looks of things.

Hopefully other screens are just as impressive. Has there been an AvP gamer before? If so did it have online?

Well after that trailer I'm not so sure. I don't want to play as the alien. Or at least I don't want to have the option of playing as either because that will limit it more than open it up I think.

Plus close-up gore-scenes aren't my thing. In Fallout decimating enemies was fine I think because it had a certain charm and innocence about it whereas this is more lifelike and actually a 'horror' game. Not my thing, making conscious choices to slice peoples brains etc.

Japan, which has seen a recent jump in swine flu cases, has been closing schools in Hyogo and Osaka prefectures at the request of the government. The outbreak could keep Japanese employees of the Resident Evil publisher away from E3:

Capcom has told Develop that its Japanese arm remains undecided on whether it will be attending the upcoming E3 event in Los Angeles. The publisher has stated however that it will still have a presence at the event with US and UK teams attending...

A spokesperson for Capcom... stated that Japan’s tough travel regulations has impacted on Capcom Japan’s options for E3...

Capcom did however clarify that it will still have a big presence at E3... “The show is in Los Angeles and we have offices in America, so E3 is still on” the spokesperson added.

PSU is a perfect counter point to that. The only difference between the PS2 and 360 version that I can see it the 360 version is clearer due to HD. Plus there are some minor improvements.

Although I only have 1 example compared to your 4. You win!

Dead Rising 2 will not be shown at E3.

Much anticipated Capcom title Dead Rising 2 will now not be shown at this year's E3 thanks to a Swine Flu outbreak in Osaka, Japan, Capcom told Kotaku.

"Our Capcom guys are not coming to E3 because of the Japanese government restrictions," said Capcom's Chris Kramer, Senior Director, Communications and Community. "The company is taking the advisory very seriously."

Japan currently advises its citizens to restrict international travel, but people can still travel if they want to. The government there reported Tuesday that they've had 191 confirmed cases of Swine Flu, more than in any other country other than the US, Mexico and Canada.

Kramer said the company, which is headquartered in Osaka, laid in a supply of surgical masks and hand sanitizers a month or so ago, to try and cut down on possible illness in the company. The country has closed more than 4,400 schools, colleges and kindergartens for the week. The first case of the flu in the country was reported in Osaka.

While Dead Rising 2 will no longer be at the show, all of Capcom's other expected video games will be there, Kramer said. The decision to not show Dead Rising 2 was driven by the fact that Capcom's Keiji Inafune and other developers based in Japan will not be making the trip.

While Canadian-based Blue Castle is developing Dead Rising 2, Inafune is the executive producer and keeps a close eye on the game's development.

"Dead Rising 2 is the only game we won't be able to showcase at E3, because it's at an early stage of development and the team is not comfortable having anyone else demo the code," Kramer said.

We are reaching out to other Japan-based developers to see if anyone else has decided to cancel their E3 showings, but we understand Capcom is the only developer taking that step.

Swine Flu: Square and Koei studios rule out E3 attendance

Japanese developers not flying to E3; Sony and Nintendo's Far Eastern staff still attending

The Japanese offices of two major publishers have prohibited staff from attending E3 in June – due to fears over swine flu.

Develop understands that Square Enix has cancelled plans for its Kingdom Hearts team to attend the show, whilst Koei has confirmed that an unspecified number of its Japanese employees will not be travelling to the event in Los Angeles.

Both will still have a strong turnout at E3, however, with European and American staff present – alongside a reduced number of representatives from Japan.

Nintendo and Sony have also confirmed that neither will be limiting their turnout due to Swine Flu concerns.

The news follows Capcom’s decision to review the number of Japanese employees it will send out to E3, as the growing number of Swine Flu cases saw famed Capcom producer Keiji Inafune cancel his appearance at the Nordic Game expo in Malmo, Sweden.

I'm pretty excited for AVP! I'd love to scare the shit out of people online as an Alien while screaming down the microphone doing my best Alien noise!

you mean ps3 right?

Me? No, PSU was only on 360, PC and PS2. Sega, being the lazy bastards that they are decided to pretty much use the same graphics for all 3 with minor improvements to the more powerful machines.

Multiformat games mainly suffer when the makers are lazy and one of the platforms is at a disadvantage. That said, I still love PSU despite it's previous gen graphics/issues (slowdown is an issue on the 360 despite the crap graphics).

That looks like one of those 'PolyStation 3' Chinese knockoffs to me. Design wise it's vastly different to the factory shots; too small, different case, no logo on the bottom. And if you were going to compare machines you wouldn't take a photo at the worst angle possible.

ooh right.

well that doesn't count. In those situations, developers work to the lowest standard and upscale. I'm talking about multi format games on comparable machines.

Yesterday, Rose McGowan and Tricia Helfer joined Geoff Keighley for a special live taping of GameTrailers TV. The E3 2009-themed special was packed with news, some of which splashed our way from the audience.

Playstation 3 exclusive Uncharted 2: Among Thieves got some face time as well, with a spokesman talking up multiplayer and confirming that the beta for the game will go live on the first day of E3.

We're also told that the upcoming Ratchet & Clank title, A Crack in Time will indeed feature time travel as a central theme in the game. Ratchet will also get a selection of new tech to play with including hover boots that will allow him to move around levels in a whole new way.

The show will also include an appearance by the the president of Infinity Ward who talked up Modern Warfare 2 and introduced a new trailer. The show also has more details on Mass Effect 2, some sort of big Madden NFL announcement and the reveal of a new game from Bethesda.

Other games being shown include Arkham Asylum, Need for Speed: Shift, Dante's Inferno, Aliens Vs. Predator and Lost Planet 2.

Sounds like this is a show you won't want to miss. The show kicks off May 28 at 11 p.m. ET/PT.

I thought I may as well copy and paste than write all that crap. So excited for the Bethesda title!
