Supergrunch Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 y = 2(x2+|x|-6)/(3(x2+|x|+2))±√(36-x) I wonder if anyone will work it out...
Charlie Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Plus AND minus I think. You have to do it twice for every time you see that sign. Like with Standard Deviation... So you'll have to add the last bit one time, then take it away the next time. 2 different anwsers. What's that equation actually for? It doesn't actually look as hard when you write it out properly...
MoogleViper Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 I possibly could if I knew what ± meant. For example: √4 = ±2
ViPeR Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 So, back to dukkadukka's original point. Why? Is it the meaning of life? Do we reach enlightenment? Who made it?

Supergrunch Posted November 26, 2005 Author Posted November 26, 2005 I'll give you a clue: it's the equation of a graph- plot a table of values and sketch them.
MoogleViper Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 plot a table of vlues and sketch them. No. (15.15.15)
Charlie Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Well Grapher (OSX built-in program) doesn't like that equation - doesn't like the straight lines (and neither do I!).
Supergrunch Posted November 26, 2005 Author Posted November 26, 2005 y = 2(x2+|x|-6)/(3(x2+|x|+2))±√(36-x) I wonder if anyone will work it out... I've actually just realised an error- this board won't support superscripts. Those "x2" things are x sqaureds... sorry...
Meik Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Eh? I turned this into a graph and got the following. I'm almost 100% sure this is correct.
MoogleViper Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 y = 2(x2+|x|-6)/(3(x2+|x|+2))±√(36-x) I wonder if anyone will work it out... You just want people to do your work for you. I bet none of you can write an essay on the poem: The Night of the Scorpion.
dukkadukka Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 You just want people to do your work for you. I bet none of you can write an essay on the poem: The Night of the Scorpion. googled. bugger me, i'd be dumbfounded if i'd been asked to write an essay about that.
MoogleViper Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 googled. bugger me, i'd be dumbfounded if i'd been asked to write an essay about that. We kept moaning at her so she made is do a few freeze frames/photo's of it instead. I didnt want to be photographed so firsti said i'd do a puppet show instead. but then the person with the puppets was off. So I put a blazer over my head and said I was a priest.
Supergrunch Posted November 26, 2005 Author Posted November 26, 2005 You just want people to do your work for you. I bet none of you can write an essay on the poem: The Night of the Scorpion. Believe me, it's not my work. If you don't believe me, I'll pm you with the answer.
dukkadukka Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 you did freeze frames of a poem? i don't understand.
Raining_again Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Eh? I turned this into a graph and got the following. I'm almost 100% sure this is correct. best post ever
EEVILMURRAY Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 I think I've managed to break it down into English: Jordan + Thread = Bitch. Shabba!
