Jimbob Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Jeez, there's Dirty Dom heat. Then there's the heat Hogan had during his sporadic appearance. People just didn't want to see him at all. 1
Will Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Quite enjoyed Raw and can see myself watching at least through to WrestleMania. I do with these shows weren’t quite so long. Maybe I’m just getting old but 3 hours of Raw + (I assume) the same for Smackdown is just too much wrestling for me each week. I feel like 2 hours (so under 1.5 considering ad breaks) for each is quite enough for me. 1

Good thing is that as NXT and SmackDown are still shown on network TV in the US, those two when shown here on Netflix (if you don’t watch live) actually have the ad breaks cut out. So NXT still runs 1 and a half hours and Smackdown around 2 hours 15. It’s only now Raw where we will have to deal with the full three hours, and you can even tell that the show still caters for ad breaks when it cuts to black for a second then comes back. 1
CrowingJoe79 Posted January 21 Posted January 21 I was bored yesterday, so I listened to Jon Moxley chatting on a podcast with Chris Jericho, where Moxley was open about his departure from WWE in 2019. I'd have left too. Those promos Vince wanted him to say live were just the dumbest. 🤪 1 1
Helmsly Posted Wednesday at 03:33 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:33 PM (edited) WWE's Vault channel uploaded the enture 2001 Royal Rumble match a few days ago: I think this is one of the best Royal Rumbles of all time (or at-least for me, its tied with RR '92). So much about this Rumble is entertaining. I don't think there is a dull moment in the entire match. This really was an amazing era for WWF, with Stone Cold, Rock, Triple H, Undertaker and Kane all in their prime as well as guys like the Hardy Boys. I remember watching this live and it was at the time that Channel 4 aired PPVs, which I noticed a lot of people in the comments for this video mentioned too. I also noticed a few edits/changes they made. They dubbed over Stone Colds Disturbed theme he was using at the time and replaced it with his normal music. i assume for copyright reasons. Weirdly, Undertakers Limp Bizkit theme is there in full though. Also there is a part when Terri Runnels walks to the ring and King makes a few comments about it being "nippley in here" that they removed. Edited Wednesday at 03:39 PM by Helmsly 1 1
BowserBasher Posted Wednesday at 06:21 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:21 PM Found out today that WWE now has a NXT YouTube Channel Looks like they are uploading full episodes (older NXT not current but that’s no bad thing) and even full NXT TakeOvers. 2
CrowingJoe79 Posted Thursday at 05:48 PM Posted Thursday at 05:48 PM Yes. The 2001 Royal Rumble was great. Kane was on fire that night. Because, well. He's the Big Red Machine. 🤤 Why did they stop the traditional Survivor Series matches? I do prefer them over the War Games cage bouts. 1

Plus I think they saw how well the War Games matches did in NXT that they thought it would be good to bring them to the main shows. 1
WackerJr Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Taking place tonight is one of my favourite wrestling events of the year: the WWE Royal Rumble. What are people’s thoughts and expectations? With this being the first PLE on Netflix I’m hoping they go above & beyond to make it a good event. The rumble itself if usually either excellent (like the 2001 previously, or the past few women’s ones) or a huge disappointment (see the 2022 Men’s one). I feel there are some strong contenders in the men’s match this year and hopefully a few good surprise entrants too (I believe….! 😜 and what a pop that’ll be if the Scot appears!) There’s some exciting matches too this year, with the male tag team championship match (DIY vs Motor City Machine Guns) having a lot of potential to be an entertaining one. My guesses for the winners this year are: • Women’s: Charlotte Flair (final 3 with Jordanne Grayce & Liv Morgan). • Men’s: CM Punk (final 3 with John Cena & Roman Reigns). 1
BowserBasher Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago The way Raw ended and Smackdown started I feel Punk is gonna win and I'll be disappointed. Never got how people think he's such a great wrestler. I've never seen it, to me just a solid wrestler. No. better than most top guys. There's certainly many better. Anyway. I do hope they swerve us with that and it's someone else. But then apart from Cena, there's really no one that has been postponed to win and main event WM. I do like the idea of Sami vs Owens though, but I don't see that happening. I've said that HE will appear at the Rumble since he finished his NXT run. I can tell he has a promising future in WWE if he does go there permanently. If he does I can see him being last 5 left in the ring. Women's Rumble is much more open to me though. No one has seemed a shoe in to be the winner. I feel Charlottes vignettes and return is a cover for a bigger return (The Man?) I had read she was supposed to be back at the Jan 6th Netflix premier. And a rerun of last years women's title match at WM again, with both women at 100% would be a banger. Both will have NXT guys and gals appear as usual. And 1 or 2 TNA to appear as there has been that the last few years too. Cody will retain, can't have him going less than a year after ending such a Reign. DIY to retain. Can't think of any other matches announced. I hope it's a good one and there is a good surprise or two. Please Drew, toss Punk out for us.
