EchoDesiato Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Tori Amos. I don't know that much about Tori Amos (but I feel like I should), but do know that Fall Out Boy is shit. Shit in italics.
ReZourceman Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Must say Tori Amos was good, but obv Fall Out Boy. That video is stupid and monkeys ruin it a bit, can you swap it for this W7Ug5KQxiJg >
Razz Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Hah this is so non-contest it hurts. Tori Amos.
chairdriver Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 I will actually lose faith in this forum if Fall Out Boy wins this. Precious Things is literally a bit good. Musically, the piano is awesome (and this song goes to show how talented she actually is on the piano). The lyrics are awesome. Someone please fuck the drums. I'm actually being serious. Like actually are the icing on a lovely cake. Vote: Tori Amos
chairdriver Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Voting for Fall Out Boy. Good song. Hmmm... Not liking Bjork is vaguely acceptable, voting for Fall Out Boy over Tori Amos is not.
Dyson Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Oh don't get me wrong, she's good, as is the song, except for the ayyyayayyyyayayayyayyyy bit. But if I had to choose one I'd rather listen to it'd be thnsns nknksnk fnkrtnknkrrhrhw mnmsmmrm.
The fish Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 EDIT: Voting now for Fall Out Boy. I've listened to them again, and changed my mind...
Roostophe Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Hmmm... Not liking Bjork is vaguely acceptable, voting for Fall Out Boy over Tori Amos is not. Of course it's acceptable. We live in a free country, do we not? I'm just going to vote Fall Out Boy as well. A bit of a guilty pleasure, but FOB have rather a talented drummer.
Paj! Posted December 10, 2008 Author Posted December 10, 2008 Though it's an inevitable win for Fail Out Boy, I must just say that I'm in awe of that Precious Things performance. My favourite artist...she is like a force of nature on stage, it's different every time. Precious Things (Live) without any doubt in my mind. And that's the only Fail Out Boy I like, since it's actually pretty decent. I'm just going to vote Fall Out Boy as well. A bit of a guilty pleasure, but FOB have rather a talented drummer. I lol'd at this (nothing against you, btw), simply because Tori Amos is literally a piano prodigy. Youngest person ever at one of those conservatory things in the US. Just a funny contrast. Anyway.
Dyson Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Might have something to do with the fact that Villan is a drummer, like myself
Paj! Posted December 10, 2008 Author Posted December 10, 2008 Precious Things - 5 kthxbai - 3 EDIT: Ok, well I didn't know that.
chairdriver Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 The ironic thing about the FoB video is that P!ATD are actually way better.
Dyson Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 The ironic thing about the FoB video is that P!ATD used to be way better. Fixed. Unless you meant it that way..As in, P!ATD are better. PATD are not.
Paj! Posted December 10, 2008 Author Posted December 10, 2008 Fixed. Unless you meant it that way..As in, P!ATD are better. PATD are not. Yeah, I loved A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. But their second one is just boring. But then so is everything I've heard from FOB. Except this song.
chairdriver Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Fixed. Unless you meant it that way..As in, P!ATD are better. PATD are not. Yep, the ! was there on purpose. Pretty. Odd. was just boring.
The fish Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 The Snobbishness other fans has dented Tori Amos for me. Gimmie an hour, and I'll probably change my vote.
Roostophe Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Might have something to do with the fact that Villan is a drummer, like myself Yep. How hard is it for you lot to write "Thanks for the memories" without any flipping vowels?
Paj! Posted December 10, 2008 Author Posted December 10, 2008 The Snobbishness other fans has dented Tori Amos for me. Gimmie an hour, and I'll probably change my vote. You should base your vote on the song, not the video, fans of said song, what the artist is wearing..etc. Anything...
The fish Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 You should base your vote on the song, not the video, fans of said song, what the artist is wearing..etc. Anything... When I hear that song, I'll now forever have what I term Music Nazi's brought to mind. I was on the fence anyway, so this may just push me.
Paj! Posted December 10, 2008 Author Posted December 10, 2008 When I hear that song, I'll now forever have what I term Music Nazi's brought to mind. I was on the fence anyway, so this may just push me. To be fair to me, I didn't say anything fanboyish about her...I merely stated my dislike of Fall Out Boy, and made a comment about what Villain said, which wasn't actually anti-FOB, just ironic (I think?), and I enjoyed the feeling of noticing it.
Ganepark32 Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Ok, my vote goes to Fall Out Boy. It's more in the stylings of what I listen to mostly (my MP3 player is packed with stuff in a similar vain to FOB but obviously much better ) although my musical tastes are far reaching. I did enjoy the Tori Amos song but as mentioned by others that bit when she's going 'aayyayayyaayayaayayayayah' ruins the song. But I did acknowledge the fact she is actually a decent artist.
Coolness Bears Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Tori Amos. I LOVE THIS SONG!!!! Fall out boy was alright though.
