MoogleViper Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Dammit I forgot to set my team/tactics.
jayseven Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Thanks for the heads-up. I no longer need to tightly mark him. Well you should notice if you do your research properly :P
Haden Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Emo and the Villan are staying up for sure as for the rest god knows. This is all from a factual Haden statement.
Dyson Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Epic lyrical press statement up. Ensure you're familiar with the Lonely Island's work before reading.
Roostophe Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 First time I heard that. LOL. Also; damn right I'm staying up moefukka.
jayseven Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Good news everyone! Every single player in my squad wants to hang around for next season. Load off me mind.
Cube Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 One of my main players are leaving...and in a few seasons I'll pretty much need a whole new team. 6 of my players are younger than 30.
jayseven Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Well in a few seasons then those players'll be... er.... older? :| My average age is going to be 28.79 or some crazy shit. BUT THIS IS BESIDES THE POINT! Are you ready for the pain, Cube?!
Cube Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 My average age is 31.18. And yes, I'm ready for dishing out the pain.
Dyson Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Fuck! My super 9 skill striker is leaving at the end of this season. Shame, he probably would have made it to 10 skill if he'd stayed. No matter. Just got a 6 skill 18 year old youth. Yesssss. Oddy, I'm gonna suggest really trimming the fat after this season. 7 teams and 6 managers need removing, going by most active, everyone from Tellyn downwards, and Molly's team Six Of One. Meaning next season we'll need to find more players, pretty badly. Advertising blitz on gen chit chat may be necessary, or simply having a very small 2 leagues. As long as the promotion/relegation battle remains.
Happenstance Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Its a shame that people dont stick around, if everyone who ever played in the league had then we could have more devisions by now!
jayseven Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Wow. Happenstance scraped a win to fuck up the top of the table, and ReZ pulled a draw out of the bag against Dyson! Brilliant. Oddy vs Villan was a close call, too. Tellyn looks certified now, but the other two spots are going to be crazy close. So who was serving who, Cube, huh! My next game; got three players on warnings and an injury.

Football RPG. I reckon Spenno would with some persuasion. ---------- AFC ReZs Rabies 1 (1 - 0) 1 Dysonism F.C Mental.
Happenstance Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Big win for me today, I needed that in my battle for second place
MoogleViper Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Tellyn looks certified now, but the other two spots are going to be crazy close. I'm going down. I've got a shit run 'til the end of the season.
Dyson Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Oh no, I lost 2 points lol In all seriousness, well done for succeeding where our main man Domstercool failed ReZ
Cube Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Should have been an easy draw, but my players seem to have given up.
Mr_Odwin Posted February 17, 2009 Author Posted February 17, 2009 Come on O3 FC! Back down to less than a 1000 econ for the win though. There must be some new blood out there. We need 7 new teams to maintain the same promo/relegation spots. Spenno was the first to pop into my mind. Flinky? Jordan? Eenuh (for some friendly competition with Eenuh?) The hard thing is convincing people that 1) It's not just for football fans. 2) It only takes a couple of minutes every couple of days if you want, or you can pore over everything for hours and hours. The choice is theirs!
Haden Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Godamit what the hell. Season is fast going to crap and now I am against my cursed team. Ah well nevermind still did better than last time!
Dyson Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Haha, definitely Oddy's season again. We'll see how long that lasts next season with my ubercharged new squad *cracks knuckles*
Roostophe Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Looks like I'm gonna have to wait a bit longer until I finally get a point from Oddy. I went for a defensive style of play. Having a 4-5-1 formation and style of play was defensive. When it comes to playing Oddy; I have to, as the old saying goes, "Park my team bus in front of the goal.", and make sure I can scrape a draw. I lost all these fixtures at the beginning of the season. But I gots to make sure that doesn't happen again, starting with Happenstance.
jayseven Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Another match day; unfortunately I personally did not get to participate in the excitement Both leagues top ends are crunching up and defining themselves. The relegation battle in the top league is still fierce, but the promotion from the lower league is solid. I think all three teams, of course Dyson mostly, are going to right fired up next season. I also think this was the week where my position in the the top league was solidified. 4 games left in the season and 7 pts clear of teh bottom... But games against 2 of the top 3 to follow... I think I'll realistically I only need 3pts to guarentee survival, so I guess perhaps my next game against bottom-draggers Tellyn will ultimately certify my safety. I think I'll end up on 23-25pts, and with my team remaining for the next season... I'll try to maintain my team's reputation as a challenging opponent. [/press release]
Cube Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 That 5-0 helped out a lot, now giving me a positive goal difference. It also put two of my players at joint first for points. Unfortunately, I've lost the next match.
Ellmeister Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 I'll join next season. You should get Ramar involved, hes a football fanatic.
