LegoMan1031 Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Completed the main story yesterday morning after playing this none stop the past 2 days. (normal difficulty) Loves it. Done all the riddler challenges (finding the secrets map first does make that pretty easy, even if u dont understand the riddle... just go to the area the map says and from that the item should stand out! Have just completed the predator challenges with the medals. I had to look at a guide for 2 of the medals!!! I think the combat ones are going to be a right bitch! Happenstance Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 x40 combo is actually pretty easy, you just ride a Titan. As for Batman continuity it changes usually when there is a Crisis event. Infinite Crisis changed his history so that his parents killer was found and is in jail. Recently he did break his big rule aswell and shoot someone, right before he "died"

I did try using it again shortly after but with electric water, but he just wouldn't pull them.
Daft Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I only found out in the challenges you could yank people off walkways with it and it'd be a takedown. I took out two at once. It's really useful when they pair up. I don't think I'll get a platinum on this. I suck at fighting.
Happenstance Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Yeah I can do the predator challenges pretty easily (although it does get harder when you cant use the gargoyles anymore) but the fighting ones are a lot harder to get the good scores on

Yeah I think I will struggle to as well, got up to x20 but don't rate my chances of getting the Freeform Perfection one...

That bit scared the shit out of me, I thought the red ring of death had attacked me. My finger hovered over the reset button.

Happenstance Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I do occassionally but I rarely move from the middle of the fight so theres no room. Plus in this particular fight the problem is more taking out the grunts while also dodging Bane's charge attack.

I am also doing it on hard, and find the best way to deal with lots of goons is to mash Triangle until you counter, then hit Square a few times for some follow up strikes, then start mashing Triangle again. Don't you recharge health between every wave? The higher your combo score the more you heal, I think.
Happenstance Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Yeah you basically get more health the more experience points you get, thats why i'll sometimes duck out of a fight to go find a riddler clue. Mat I would try it your way but really id rather get more skilled at the fighting, be better for the Challenge Rooms.
Shorty Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I don't think you should mash triangle, you should push the direction of an enemy and hit square (trying to remember the PS3 pad layout here), once slow mo stars, point towards someone else and use square, keep pointing towards different enemies and use the regular attack button. If someone lights up for an attack, then use counter. Also take all the fighting upgrades so you can use circle and triangle special finisher after five hits.

So mashing Triangle until one attacks always counters, then following up with Square mashing until the slo-mo starts, then mash Triangle again works 99% of the time.

Ending I got was; Reveal hidden contents Batman finishes off Joker and then it cuts to batman and gordon outside chatting on whilst people are rounded up and your are shown a rather dopey looking joker. Plus of course the after credit Croc stealing some titan left over. How different are the other endings?

Oh pretty pointless and redundant...My one worry is it opens up the possibilty of a sequel where again we can have a lack of imagination for boss encounters.
