Mundi Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I believe that before the Comics Code Authority was introduced Batman could be seen carrying a gun that he shot people with and would break crooks' necks and such. I doubt that sort of thing is considered canon now, but you'd have to ask someone that actually reads comics. I´m pretty sure when I read the first book of the Batman: Chronicles he had no quarrel in shooting a Vampire with a silver bullet if that counts for anything CCA or notit´s become very iconic with Batman to not kill and use guns so I would say he gained from it.
EEVILMURRAY Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 You do have a point...Has Batman never killed anyone ever in the comic books? Although I can't say with much authority, I am fairly confident he has.
Daft Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 He hasn't killed anyone in the current continuity. Batman got rebooted by Miller with Year One and before that I don't think he's killed anyone since the 40s.
dwarf Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 He must be on the state pension by now surely :p?
LegoMan1031 Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Completed the main story yesterday morning after playing this none stop the past 2 days. (normal difficulty) Loves it. Done all the riddler challenges (finding the secrets map first does make that pretty easy, even if u dont understand the riddle... just go to the area the map says and from that the item should stand out! Have just completed the predator challenges with the medals. I had to look at a guide for 2 of the medals!!! I think the combat ones are going to be a right bitch! (also the achievement for x40 combo and perfect combo with all moves) One thing I have to ask its related to the third scarecrow moment; When it all glitches out and goes mental like Eternal Darkness (love that bit) and you play as joker for a sec then it switches back to you as batman in first person and you get shot... I didn't do anything as didn't think moving head would make much difference yet when u die on the gameover screen it tells you to use the right stick to move your head to dodge the bullet yet when u restart your pulling yourself up out of grave, does it have any knock on effect if you do dodge it? That was the first game i thought of 2 when that happened!!!
Happenstance Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 x40 combo is actually pretty easy, you just ride a Titan. As for Batman continuity it changes usually when there is a Crisis event. Infinite Crisis changed his history so that his parents killer was found and is in jail. Recently he did break his big rule aswell and shoot someone, right before he "died"
EEVILMURRAY Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Just had a lovely time after meeting Poison Ivy, 8 guards were waiting for me on the other side of a wide pit, so I Batclawed them on my side over the edge. Genius.
Happenstance Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I love using the Batclaw to take out enemies, started doing it more and more now
EEVILMURRAY Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I love using the Batclaw to take out enemies, started doing it more and more now I don't personally, I just couldn't be bothered taking on 8 at once. I did try using it again shortly after but with electric water, but he just wouldn't pull them.
Daft Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I only found out in the challenges you could yank people off walkways with it and it'd be a takedown. I took out two at once. It's really useful when they pair up. I don't think I'll get a platinum on this. I suck at fighting.
Happenstance Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Yeah I can do the predator challenges pretty easily (although it does get harder when you cant use the gargoyles anymore) but the fighting ones are a lot harder to get the good scores on

Yeah I think I will struggle to as well, got up to x20 but don't rate my chances of getting the Freeform Perfection one...
Domstercool Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Just finished it right now! Absolutely brilliant. Anyone who wants a good actiony game should really buy this. Time to have a go at the challenges.

That bit scared the shit out of me, I thought the red ring of death had attacked me. My finger hovered over the reset button.
Happenstance Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Im up to the Bane fight now on Hard mode, its not even Bane thats causing me trouble but the lackies that Joker sends in to help him.
Daft Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I always forget about using the baterang in combat. That helps.
Happenstance Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I do occassionally but I rarely move from the middle of the fight so theres no room. Plus in this particular fight the problem is more taking out the grunts while also dodging Bane's charge attack.
Daft Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Even if you're in the middle it's worth just tapping L1 (?) and it'll hit someone in the direction the analogue stick is facing. It's real quick.
EEVILMURRAY Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Don't you lure the grunts in the way and let Bane plow into them?
MATtheHAT Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 (edited) Im up to the Bane fight now on Hard mode, its not even Bane thats causing me trouble but the lackies that Joker sends in to help him. I am also doing it on hard, and find the best way to deal with lots of goons is to mash Triangle until you counter, then hit Square a few times for some follow up strikes, then start mashing Triangle again. With the occasional double tap of X to get out of the way of the boss attacks. This technique has got me all the way up to the Joker fight, but now I'm stuck. Edited September 1, 2009 by MATtheHAT
flameboy Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Just beaten poision ivy and arrived at the party, guessing I am near the end?

Don't you recharge health between every wave? The higher your combo score the more you heal, I think.
