Pokémon Cards

I play Magic: The Gathering on off every couple of years. My "problem" with is that it has too many cards that just blatantly say "Fuck you and your mother!"
and that the only guy I know that is a challenge too play with acts like a bitch if he looses.

Yeah, some of the cards are way over-powered, they try to correct that by banning certain cards. Dark ritual is banned for being one of the most insane cards ever, though you might not initially think so... it turns out three black mana for a single swamp can let you dominate early on.

Anyhoo, they banned Pokemon cards at my school, because they banned everything popular. This sounded like we weren't allowed to play Magic either, so we drew up a list of reasons why we should still be able to play it, and presented it to the headmaster, who ended up giving us special permission for Magic only. We were awesome like that. :heh:

I mainly collected and played Magic: the Gathering, which was a far deeper game, though I did collect and play Pokemon cards for a short period of time. I tried to sell some of mine on ebay a few years back, and got hardly anything for them.

Why is it everytime I go to post something, you've already written exactly what I wanted to say. My problem with magic was it was massively skewed to whoever had spent the most money on it.

Why is it everytime I go to post something, you've already written exactly what I wanted to say. My problem with magic was it was massively skewed to whoever had spent the most money on it.

My favourite card was "living dead":- everyone swaps the creatures in their graveyard with their creatures in play. fun times.

I signed up for one of the free starter sets they were dishing out for fun. Me and my mate had a go, wasn't bad. Plus it came with this delightful disc where you could play against this goblin character with a selection of decks.

The awesome thing was, was the guides both players got when playing for real. A Gold and Silver booklet, telling us what we would do for our first 3 moves, with a dodgy Japanese [i think] guy with a shit eating grin telling us to tell our other partner to read from his booklet.

I was mental over PokÃ©mon cards! Good saturdays in the PokÃ©mon league with a pristine record eventually getting to be gym leader... Met Beardy Man there by the way, his fucking Articuno was always in the way of my Machamps.
