ReZourceman Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 http://uk.tv.ign.com/articles/857/857305p1.html TV Movie will air this fall, before season 7 in January. The movie bridges the gap between S6 and S7. Sounds awesome to be honest.
welsh_gamer Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Good news. I need my fix! Hope that it's released on DVD quite soon after it's broadcast, as I have no digital TV. I wonder if it will use the premise/idea's/script of the blockbuster movie they had planned. Hope not, as I still want that to happen one day.
Guest Jordan Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 My bet: Its still 24 hours, only cut down into say 2 1/2 hours with linear jumps. Could work...
Apple_NdiB Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 My bet:Its still 24 hours, only cut down into say 2 1/2 hours with linear jumps. Could work... You mean, a movie, based on a TV series, deprived of it's only USP? What could possibly go wrong?
welsh_gamer Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 You mean, a movie, based on a TV series, deprived of it's only USP? What could possibly go wrong? They made 10 minute prequels for season's 4,5 and 6. No harm done there, and this is basically the same thing, just 110 minutes longer.
Gizmo Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 I only recently discovered the wonder that is 24 and am currently around 10 episodes into season three. Awesome show.
Tellyn Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Fantastic news! I was annoyed when I found out the other day that season 7 had been delayed until January, at least I get my fix this year.
navarre Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 24 is, without a shadow of doubt, the greatest action programme ever. It did to action what DR Who did to Sci-fi. However, I can't help but feel that as with most big jumps from the small screen to the big, this is either gonna be really crap or really good. Here's hoping for the latter. Oh, and I've only seen seasons 5 and 6 btw. Both brilliant.
ReZourceman Posted March 6, 2008 Author Posted March 6, 2008 However, I can't help but feel that as with most big jumps from the small screen to the big, this is either gonna be really crap or really good. Its on the small screen though...
Sanchez Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 6 was NOT brilliant. They blew their load in the first 4 episodes and were left with a mess on their hands. The only good thing about season 6 is that they left it open for an overhaul. Truth be told I have low expectations for season 7 as well. The trailer I saw a couple of months ago seemed to be the same old plot twists in a new setting. Prove me wrong Jack Bauer.
navarre Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Its on the small screen though... Haha! So it is! Sorry mate, I completely ignored the 'TV' bit.
Solo Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 So what's happening with the 'proper' theatrical feature film?!
Oxigen_Waste Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 24 is pretty good. I've only seen season 5, wich is supposedly the best one, and yeah, it's good. A bit overrated, though.
Tellyn Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 24 is pretty good. I've only seen season 5, wich is supposedly the best one, and yeah, it's good. A bit overrated, though. You need to see season 1.
ReZourceman Posted March 6, 2008 Author Posted March 6, 2008 Haha! So it is! Sorry mate, I completely ignored the 'TV' bit. Don't apologise! YOU TAKE THAT BACK! SHUT YOUR DIRTY MOUTH!
Cube Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 I may watch the movie to test the waters. I don't really have 18 hours to watch a series when I'm not sure that I would like it.
Calza Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 24 is pretty good. I've only seen season 5, wich is supposedly the best one, and yeah, it's good. A bit overrated, though. Nah Season 5 isn't the best, like Tellyn said you need to see Season 1. Season 2 is awesome because of Mason and the best line ever spoken involving a hack saw ever. Season 3 is pretty great because of the mini Jack (Chase) and Chloe. Season 4 is awesome because of the sunglasses scene. Season 5 you have already seen so you don't need me to tell you its awesome and Season 6's vampire bite is awesome as well. Sure I've missed out tons of bits, like the towel scene from Season 1 which is legendary but you really need to watch Season 1 and don't even think about watching Season 2 or 3 before then as you will just spoil so much.
Tellyn Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Calza, I think I'm in love with you. The hack saw bit was legendary. How about the bit where he throws the man walking to his car down to the floor, screams "DON'T GET UP!" then drives off in his car?
Oxigen_Waste Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 You need to see season 1. So, out of the 6 seasons, wich would you say is best? The first one?
Tellyn Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 So, out of the 6 seasons, wich would you say is best? The first one? Definitely. There's so many good moments, and one of the final scenes is amazing.
Dyson Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Dear god the final scene is filled with so much emotion it's amazing. Everytime I watch it it feels as if I'm watching it back for the first time
Jinmu Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 now, i love me 24. Season 3's by far has had me more on the edge of my seat than any other series, great twists. Looked good and . I hated 6 with a passion, I'm just hoping this tv/straight to dvd movie will be more plausible and feature Keither Sutherland WANKERD from his rehab/prision days or something a lot like Dark City.
Oxigen_Waste Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Definitely. There's so many good moments, and one of the final scenes is amazing. So... if season 1 is the best. What's the second best? And third?... Aww fuck, just rank them according to quality. :P
Tellyn Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 In my opinion: Season 1 Season 5 Season 3 Season 4 Season 2 Season 6 With 1 being the highest.
Oxigen_Waste Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 In my opinion: Season 1 Season 5 Season 3 Season 4 Season 2 Season 6 With 1 being the highest. Hmm... that's settled, I'm gonna watch Season 1 and make up my mind if I should watch the rest. Anyway, it's pretty unanimous that Season 6 was the worst, right? That concerns me, the future may be bleak.
