tapedeck Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Unanamously everyone is going to say "KEEP IT!" There are some treats in there yet I bet they'll be poor in comparison when the REAL game hits :D
flameboy Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Unanamously everyone is going to say "KEEP IT!" There are some treats in there yet I bet they'll be poor in comparison when the REAL game hits :D TRUE, but it would be a real shame to lose some of things that are about...people have made not only technical wonders but also artistic masterpieces...
flameboy Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Awesome. Media Molecule could make a ton of money selling all these characters. Good news on the beta levels front they are staying; http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3170477 On the main floor at the Tokyo Game Show today Media Molecule co-founder Alex Evans let slip that all the Little Big Planet user-created levels we've been seeing from the beta are in fact going to be making the transition into the full final game. This is great news for the enthusiastic designers who've poured hours into crafting an already amazing array of content ranging from digital clocks to pinball machines. It also means that in addition to the pre-made levels shipping with the game, there will be a ready-made collection of user content for everyone to jump into and get a dramatic first look at some of the potential for what can be done in the game. If this gets you half as excited as it does us take a quick moment to hit the official LittleBIGPlanet blog and let them know. They've been running a little poll there on the subject of whether or not to bring the levels over and Evans told me that they'd continue to watch to results to gauge your reaction to the news. And for everyone who got in, now you've got a whole lot of added incentive to create something special during these last few days of the beta. There've already been plenty of impressive efforts. It's going to be great to see how everyone reacts when they get a chance to play them on release day. LittleBIGPlanet ships Tuesday, 10/21. Until then, if you want to check out some of the levels that have been created head over to Gamevideos.com. 1UP is in Japan all week giving you the best coverage of one of the biggest gaming conventions in the world -- the Tokyo Game Show. tapedeck Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 Hey Flameboy, I liked your second level with all of the fire. Good stuff. I just upped a quick snow level. Was messing around with my nephew (who's 9) showing him how to do fun stuff. It's a pretty good snowy themed level. My Beta expires tomorrow But cannot wait for the full game!

flameboy Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Did anyone get round to playing Holy Bastian, was a french level, so none of the text made sense but had a horror theme and was amazing, so much stuff about it made me buzz...that was the last level I played on the beta...great way to end a lovely little demo
MATtheHAT Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Yeah, me and a pal played it online. Lots of lols making our sackboys look scared, then tiptoeing up to one of the bubbles, touching it to make it go pop, then running away. This game is just the epitomy of fun.
flameboy Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 http://www.ripten.com/2008/10/13/littlebigslimshady/#more-7699 fantastically funny trailer- shows off the voice recognition in a truly amazing way... tons of clips of different songs all worth a look...

tapedeck Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 I remember playing a Mirrors Edge level in the Beta. It was utterly immense.
Hero-of-Time Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Ive posted this in the PS thread but will drop it here aswell. The release of Sony's highly anticipated PlayStation 3 title LittleBigPlanet has been delayed in Europe, GamesIndustry.biz reports. The game was due for release next week, 24th October, but now some retailers are estimating the game may be delayed by three weeks until 14th November. However, GamesIndustry.biz understands that the title may not suffer such a long delay to retail, and a new date is expected to be announced by Sony shortly. LittleBigPlanet has reviewed incredibly well in the specialist press and anticipation is high from consumers who have already had access to the beta of the game. Sony has said that the game is a system seller for the PlayStation 3, and the title is considered one of the most important releases for the home console this Christmas. More details to follow. Eurogamer and many other sites are reporting this and big retailers such as GAME have shifted the release date to simply October-November.
Serebii Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Well thats retarded I've already got the 14th November earmarked for Banjo
Guest Jordan Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Ooohh.. I wonder what the cause of this is. Supply issues? Sony waiting till after Gears? Going up against Banjo? Very interesting. But annoying... Considering its out in the US next week.
S.C.G Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Ooohh.. I wonder what the cause of this is. Supply issues? Sony waiting till after Gears? Going up against Banjo? Very interesting. But annoying... Considering its out in the US next week. The real reason? Religion... *sigh* Taken from HOT's post in the Playstation thread... Quote: Gamereactor has given Little Big Planet the ultimate vote of confidence our highest grade, but as the release date is only days away we hear that the game will be delayed. While just an unconfirmed rumour at this point (from a source we tend to believe), it would appear that a song on the soundtrack includes lines that could be offensive to people with certain religious beliefs. The same source claims the game will be delayed by three weeks worldwide, our Nordic distributor has confirmed the delay although they did not wish to elaborate on the reasons behind it. If this is true it is going to be a costly affair for Sony who have been banking on Little Big Planet to kick off their holiday sales with plenty of advertising to back the release. One word... pointless.
Serebii Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 I read its because of one of the songs on it having arabic excerpts of the Qu'ran Isnt November 14th also CoD day?
Guest Jordan Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 it would appear that a song on the soundtrack includes lines that could be offensive to people with certain religious beliefs. What. The. Fuck. They could just patch it out! Or did what OoT did, and re-release it again after release without the religious bull shit.
Cookyman Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 www.computerandvideogames.com Oh Dear. LittleBigPlanet, the PlayStation 3's biggest game of the year, has been delayed by around three weeks. Product Little Big Planet in order ******** will now be released on Fri Nov 14 00:00:00 GMT 2008 Kind Regards, zavvi.co.uk customer services team It's not yet clear why this last minute delay has been brought into effect. We've contacted Sony for official comment on the story, which will come as a massively blow for fans of the game. You'll just have to make do with re-reading our gushing review here. Update: Looks like Zavvi is back-tracking a little. This just in. Hello from zavvi, We are emailing because you recently placed an order for LittleBigPlanet.
