Horoscopes...Are you a believer?

I have always been impressed by how the personality of my star sign, Cancer, is about 99.9% correct when weighed up with my personality. I just need to know if it feels the same with other people. I'm open to all sort of mystical mumbo-jumbo and there is something respectable and intriguing about having personality traits according to what time of year/star corellation you are born under.

 

Disregarding daily horoscopes, do you feel you are anything like your Star Sign?

I'm a Capricorn, same as my sister, and when we were younger she got me into reading my horoscopes daily, reading up about meaning behind them, and so on.

 

Capricorns are supposed to be good leaders (I can be when I want to be, although I do like to take my time making decisions, which can piss people off, but it makes ME feel better). We're supposed to be organised, and strong-minded. Again, I can be when its needed.

I'd be a "garden goat" according to that, but I do think that you could put up any old horiscope and I would be able to agree with more than half of it.

Although, I read one once and it said take the day off, and I had taken the day off, but pure coincidence. I all written very loosely so you place your self into the situations they talk about, which, I guess why some people believe.

I'm a Taurian*, but it makes no odds to horoscope hokum. All the 'predictions' are things so general they could be applied to anyone, and those that do believe in fortune telling focus on the things that correlate with their lives as opposed to all the things that don't.

 

Horoscopes can be a bit of harmless fun, but should you ever feel tempted to run your life by them heed this: the column is written by the work experience kid, not some beaded mystic in a headscarf.

I do not believe in such tripe as horoscopes and people who do annoy me ¬_¬. They always seem to use very vague things that could be applicable to the majority of people. If people want to believe in them and base their lives of such unfounded predictions as the weekly horoscope, they are only kidding themselves their personality fits the description ('I'm kinda like that....') I also find people who believe in this and similar crap will take anything they can out of their week to prove the horoscopes predictions true.

Apparantly I'm a Taurus, which should make me strong willed, stubborn, passionate and quick tempered, but these are all the things I'm not. It really is totally made up. If the ones in the paper were true then you'd occassionally have them saying "Today is going to be absolutely rubbish, just don't bother getting out of bed".

 

The only exception is mystic Frank Pilkington with his "psychic postbag". Makes me laugh at some of the things sent in and his reponses.
