chairdriver Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 The Jean Grey one stuns, because it's like the visual representation of Thom Yorke singing Bjork's Unravel.
nightwolf Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Pete Belson: http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewPicture&friendID=520704185&albumId=316722 He's had work done by Niko which is incredible in itself, does amazing portraits.
Paj! Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 ^ Stunningly good! See if I got something from New X-Men in Frank Quitely's style (he;s the artist of all those images I've posted), it wouldn't require much in the way of realism colour/tone wise, just in line-work, even though that's highly stylised anyway.
EEVILMURRAY Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Nice work! Not something I'd do having Brad Pitt engraved on me, how long would something pr0 like take/cost?
nightwolf Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 It entirely depends. Some artist go by hour, others go by the whole thing, I'd imagine a couple of hundred pounds. Maybe about 70-80quid an hour, that sort of thing. There is so many beautiful artists out there. I'll continue looking for somebody who specialises in my comic book style, I know a few but most tend to be American.
Murr Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 hope it's cool to bump this thread back up, obviously no need to create a new one. here's my tattoo's! (first 2 pics kinda blurred) 1st Tattoo - My Starsign on my wrist 2nd Tattoo - 3 Stars ( no significance, just liked the idea) 3rd Tattoo - Obvious what this is really. 4th & 5th Tatoo - Angel & Devil Swallows. again no significance, i just like them As for piercings, i got top of my left ear pierced, Both ear lobes, and a scaffold piercing in my right ear.
Diageo Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 3rd Tattoo - Obvious what this is really. As for piercings, i got top of my left ear pierced, Both ear lobes, and a scaffold piercing in my right ear. Haha WOW, as nerdy as it sounds on paper it looks really cool.
Murr Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Haha WOW, as nerdy as it sounds on paper it looks really cool. yeah i get all the nerd comments... mostly from my girlfriend :p but meh... my back, my money... so why not
nightwolf Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 I love nerdy tattoos (for figure), long as they are done well. It suits you too which is a bonus.
EddieColeslaw Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 (Wasn't there a newer tattoo/piercing thread? I can't find it ) Taped and stretched up to 1g both ears, wearing SF glass colourfront plugs (these):
Daft Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 I think I'm going to pierce my septum. Just kind of fancy it. Also, might get my next tattoo soon. On my inner right forearm.
EddieColeslaw Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Septum piercings seem fun - you can flip it up your nose (depending on the jewelry, of course) and hide it!
Raining_again Posted May 12, 2012 Author Posted May 12, 2012 I would like a septum piercing but i fear the pain of healing :p want to get both my nostrils done, possibly a bit higher than norm and completely straight so it looks like a bar that goes straight through. I've got all the kit at home to do it but i'm not sure if i've got the balls to pierce through cartilage myself ._. my lip piercing is being annoying at the moment, with my braces... want to take it out but it feels odd and yicky without something in it.. (i've had this piercing about 7 years)
Frag Grimes Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 (edited) Me, during getting myself inked a second time. It was about 3/4's of the way finished at this point. Edited May 13, 2012 by Frag Grimes
nightwolf Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Dragging this back up. I know some very good artists, but I want some work done (behind my ears to be specific) but don't know any good artists who are used to working on small pieces. They won't be particularly detailed, but I can't think of anyone off the top of my head, any ideas folks?
