I said I didnt like her, not hated her. I wanted something to replace Lost basically and the actual show seemed ok, she just annoyed me a bit.

Battlestar Galactica: Daybreak

I won't go on about how this was a perfect end to a great series or spoil anything story-wise. I was just curious about how it would look on Blu-Ray. Needless to say, the quality and colours were astounding, although a couple of the CGI shots don't quite match up to the resolution. The music sounded even better than before, too.

Party Down - 'Not On Your Wife' Opening Night

2jdmjnp.jpg

This show always amuses me but this particular episode actually had me out loud laughing at times. Some great lines:

Lydia: "What about 'bears'? That's not slang for anything is it?"

Casey: "That's like a fat hairy gay man."

Lydia: "Oh that explains a lot. I need to change my online dating profile name then."

Person (Max?): "When did Ladies Karaoke Night become Lesbian Scissoring Night?"

And some great visual humour as well (as above).

Is this program old or still going? I assume old/cancelled. I could need to watch.

Still going, although its future is bubbleish. Currently on 2.06.

Adam Scott is now on Parks and Recs and Ryan Hansen is on Friends With Benefits but then they're both midseason next year (not sure if they're running into the summer) and this is a summer show so if they're determined enough (and if NBC aren't dicks like Fox are being with Jane Lynch)... But you should check it out. Great awkward comedy plus a giant Veronica Mars reunion.

Oh Veronica Mars! THAT'S the next show I'll dedicate my life to. Thanks for reminding me.

(also for the info)

Unfortunately, no. The first part was separate and there were no new scenes. I don't think the extended version is on the DVD box set, either (in the UK, anyway).

Edit: Apparently the extended versions of Daybreak and another episode are hidden on the bonus disc of the Blu-Ray version only. I feel kind of ripped off with the DVD box set now.

Edit2: And as I can't "find" these extended episodes online, it would cost me £120 to watch them.

Party Down - First episode

I enjoyed. I love how they all have Juno/Sue Sylvester/Depressed faced humour. That kinda "Fuck, I'm so bored yet will reel off witty comments" attitude.

I liked how it felt like nothing was made a fuss over. It was concise.

That show annoys me purely because...

Could you not be bothered to try and be original? Its just Fred Flintstone in a different shirt.

It is awesome. Episode three is particularly great :) I really need to watch the first season again. But yeah, nice understated humour (although I wildly disagree with the Sue Sylvester comment).

Well she probably just came to mind cause of Jane Lynch, even though she's completely different in this. It's just that kinda not-making-a-fuss-about-being-funny thing.

Well they are not Hidden, on the episode select menu there is the normal ep then followed by the extended version. There's at least 1 extended ep in each season, such as "Pegasus" and "Lay Your Burdens Down".. didn't know they were only on the BluRay collection though... lucky I shelled out for that one now, haha.... also it has an extended version of Razor too if your wondering

It's just "Daybreak" and "Islanded in a Stream of Stars" that have extended versions only on the Blu-Ray.

Edit: Found the extended Daybreak in the extras menu on the disc I'm renting.

In the extras menu? That's weird they are in the normal episodes menu on mine.

I have the complete series BluRay collection... there are other eps in other seasons with extended versions too ;)

Flight of the Conchords is, obviously, absolutely hilarious. Better than Boosh by a long shot, so many lol moments, and some truly surprising guest-stars. Anyone know if a third season is in the works?

Chuck s03 is utter nerd-porn. Definitely better than the previous two seasons, even if Chuck is just a complete fool for how he treats Hannah. I'm only about 8 episodes in, and while each episode is still fairly typical, chuck's new abilities makes it more interesting.

They decided not to do a third season of conchords. The first season is based on their live stand up show, which is why the songs are often weirdly placed/ shoehorned in to the script. The second season has songs that are a better fit because they were written for TV but they're generally not as good so they called it a day and chose not to write under pressure and got back on the road.

Episode 1 & 2.

It starts of pretty dire but I was loving it by the end of the second episode. It's pretty much 300 crossed with Gladiator topped with a dollop of softcore porn.

There's a lot off boob and wangs waving around.

Does it actually get better? Cause I watched half of the first one and was like "...". I was so stunned (in a neither negative not positive way) by the random swearing/nudity.

Oh no that added, it was just really jarring compared to...most things on TV. I might give it another try then.

Classical stuff is lovely, because you're allowed to have sexy stuff, and it feels classy.

As Brooker says 'There's just a hell of a lot to desensitise yourself to first.' :hehe:

Hopefully this becomes good enough to keep me interested. I'm low on TV series. I only regularly watch House and Stargate Universe.

Episode 5 & 6

Jupiter's cock this rocks! Just gets better and better. Both episodes were awesome in different ways.

His wife! So sad. That Dominus is SUCH a tool. As well as killing Barker for no reason.

I'm just going to call it now, Barker's kid is totally going to get bum raped.

Britain's Got Talent- Semi-finals 2

This show is beyond a joke now. Two nights ago, the first place was deserved but that swallowing bloke should have made it into the Judge's last two but instead more singers and dancers. Last night, the first place was okay but the last two, more singers and them kids couldn't sing half the time! If you want to sing, apply for the friggin' X Factor, if you wanna dance, there's tons of BBC and Sky1 shows that do that as well. It's supposed to be a variety yet singers or dancers always win! I only tune in to watch the bad auditions and to see who wins, also it kills a lot of time too...

Lord of the Dance Machine

A very interesting documentary following KDogg (a DDR player on one of my forums) and his battle to become number 1 on DDR by going to tournaments around the world. I've always wanted to enter in one of the competitions but it costs too much. One of the competitions was robbed!

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7219723761907308555# (50:30 onwards to see KDogg get ROBBED!)

Still, great documentary.
