Wow, great to see Galaxy back in there. Surprised to see GT entering so low.

Seriously Zech how can you be so negative?

GT Prologue for all intents and purposes is a big demo and for it to do that well is great news especially as that number doesnt count the number of people who just downloaded it rather than buying it from the shop.

More good news I see! As for GT5 Prologue sales, I think SONY expected higher sales than that. I thought there would have been more sales than that, how much was this priced at?

Its expensive. near enough the same price as a full PS3 game. Is GT5P the first say AAA japanese developed game for PS3 in 2007? stuff like R&C, Uncharted wasnt and they bombed big time.

I not sure if PS3 is gonna get big hardware sales over holiday season you know. there is no major software till DMC5 which is end of Jan 08.

NDS is a beast and PSP doing very well. only 3 games in the top 50 though!! its very strange. maybe PSP piracy is really big in Japan.

Lost Odyssey bombed.. :(

Thus proving that anything with the words "Final" and "Fantasy" on it will sell.

Huh? Is the FF IV remake a woeful game? I thought everything pointed towards it having a fair amount of quality, so surely good games deserve to be bought?

(Those Chocobo games are a bit of a pisstake though.)

Well, no i'm not saying that.

Truthfully FFIV is a very good game, it does show that any FF game will hit number 1 in the charts first week though.

Happy to see that Galaxy is still going strong in Japan just now. Not to fussed about Soul Calibur though since I sort of lost interest in it. Also nice to see DQ doing well and was surprised to see the Olympic games in there and it's doing better than I thought worldwide, wonder how many they've sold now.

But will someone please shoot down Mario Party for the DS. Games like that don't deserve to be in the top 10 nevermind first place.

Well yeah, the Japs (and everyone, I guess) like to snap up the FF games, but it would have been better placed if you made the comment when a bad Final Fantasy game was soaring up the charts. :indeed:

(Awaits death after challenging teh adminz.)
