david.dakota Posted August 25, 2011 Share Posted August 25, 2011 I would always recommend plasma above LCD, and this one looks to be a pretty good TV according to Techradar. Plasma is known to deal with 3D better than LCD (not that 3D is a consideration for me at the moment), so I'm surprised the 3D is so hit and miss. Techradars summary: For > Decent all-round images > First-rate Blu-ray playback > Appealing look > Attractive menu system > Excellent sound Against > 3D pictures lack punch > Standard def Freeview pics below par > Network-unfriendly > Active 3D glasses expensive I would be cautious of the 3D on this display; reading the review its not great for live action stuff, but works better with CGI movies.
