jammy2211 Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 The more RPG's the better, I don't have a clue what to expect and the fact it was on PS2 bodes for the worst, but with so few RPG's currently on the table I ain't gonna moan. Will check this out at some point.
Guest Maase Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 The trailer talks about Sin, looks promissing
C.H Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 The more RPG's the better, I don't have a clue what to expect and the fact it was on PS2 bodes for the worst, but with so few RPG's currently on the table I ain't gonna moan. Will check this out at some point. Agreed. The trailer looks pretty, purely because of the anime sequences, but that says nothing about the game. I do want to see some RPG's. On the bright side, Atlus has a pretty good handling of the Wii.
Tales Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Looks interesting, just too bad Atlus is the publisher. Half of their games are never released in Europe.
ShadowV7 Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 If this get a Europe release then i'll be very happy. It looks pretty cool.
Hellfire Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Atlus isn0t just the publisher they're the developers, so the game is bound to be awesome. EDIT: OK actually it's Sting. Still, almost everything, if not everything Atlus publishes is awesome.
pedrocasilva Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Holy CRAP :| Baroque is on the Wii? instant purchase. And here I was, doubting a few months ago that Atlus was going to release it; hell... port a few more while you're at it Atlus. (persona 3, persona 3, persona 3; odin sphere, odin sphere, odin sphere)

Still, almost everything, if not everything Atlus publishes is awesome. Even better, Sting made the awesome Riviera: The Promised Land for GBA and PSP(port)
Zelda_Rulez Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Looks interesting, I hope it gets released here.
Ten10 Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 This gets my vote. I was thinking this is a bit of an advanced riviera even the main character looks a bit like Ein. And then I saw the name of the developer at the end being Sting. So based on that I know this will be a good RPG.
Hellfire Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Also, the title came from the portuguese word Barroco :P
Jonnas Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Also, the title came from the portuguese word Barroco :P Now we just need a game called Rococó. The trailer doesn't show much, but since Riviera was a pretty good game, I'll have faith in them. Hope to hear more.
darksnowman Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Reading that its a "dungeon crawler" instantly makes me wary of it. However I own Riviera, and its a quality little game, so I won't rule this out. I wish we got more of these Atlus games in Europe though- Yygdra Union for one, was a game I had hoped to see on shelves round these parts.

ShadowV7 Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 That looks so cool. Now i'm really looking forward to this. This'll break my Wii RPG Virginity (hopefully) It's gonna be so special...
Calibur Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 YES give us some RPGs!! I haven't been able to have my fill since SNES days. Only a few were decient on the Cube. I hope Wii has alot more.
pedrocasilva Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Turns out Atlus is not only doing a port for the Wii, it's also enhancing it. New Features: - First Person Mode with motion control - game difficultly has been re-balanced - quicksave feature for dungeons - 16:9 support First images of the Wii build: Looks good, Atlus is not being half assed about this, for sure; now they ought to confirm it to Europe though, but it's looking good.
Hellfire Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Wow, the first person mode makes it feel even more dungeon crawler like. Me love Atlus long time
ShadowV7 Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 This is how ports should be done adding nice little features like this. Well done to Atlus actually doing it and damn i'm looking forward to this now.
Maiky-NiSuTe Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 this game makes what 30% use of the graphical possibility's of the Wii? ps there are more movies to be found here: http://www.sting.co.jp/baroque/wii/index.htm of coarse if this game is huge the graphics go back so i do hope it is huge..
Guest Maase Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Okay, its decided, if this game comes in Portugal, i will buy it The third game on my Wish List
Tellyn Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 Baroque supports the Classic Controller. Atlus` new dungeon-crawler supports classic controls in addition to the Wiimote/Nunchuk combo. Last week, we reported on Atlus` plans to remake their Sega Saturn dungeon crawler Baroque for the Wii. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, the player must traverse a bleak and merciless world to discover why devastation has claimed the world of men. The player must descend a mysterious, ever-changing tower teeming with vile beasts in order to make progress. Atlus have announced that not only will the Wii version of the game support the Wii Remote and Nunchuk control scheme, but it will also be compatible with the Classic Controller aswell. Whether this also means the GameCube controller will be compatible remains a mystery. Stay tuned to N-Europe for the latest on Baroque. http://www.n-europe.com/news.php?nid=11335
