Hellfire Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 As someone who used to play real golf, I can honestly say, Wii Sports golf is shit. I hope you can at least swing the club like a real club without it hooking. Tiger Woods 08 is pretty well made in that regard and I've had friends who are semi-pro golf players play it and they said it's pretty good.
khilafah Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 I hoping to buy this next week although with christmas dont expect it too arrive till the new year. I think it looks pretty cool!!
Hero-of-Time Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 http://www.gametrailers.com/player/28935.html Japanese trailer. Does anyone else love the art style of this game? Its so colourful! Plus, Ryu + golf club = WIN
darksnowman Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 This game exudes Mario Golf in everything shown in that, right down to the wee captions appearing on screen to try and put off the other players! No bad thing by the way, I thought it would have that Mario Golf feel, but maybe more subtly. And lets not forget that you can use your Mii's in this, so ontop of Ryu, Chun Li etc, you can use anyone at all. Micheal Jackson, Shigsy, Mario, infinite character list!
Tellyn Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 In a nice turn of events for North American and European gamers, Camelot's We Love Golf is getting an online multiplayer mode! More good news has emerged from the latest issue of Nintendo Power. In an interview with Camelot (best known for RPG classic Golden Sun aswell as several Mario sports titles), it has been revealed that the North American and European versions of the Wii golfing sim We Love Golf will receive several major improvements over the Japanese edition. The biggest surprise is online multiplayer, which was sadly absent from the Japanese release. Take on anyone from around the world head-to-head at a heated game of golf, and if you manage to beat them, you will collect their player avatar (which will likely be a Mii) and add it to your play sheet. Hopefully this trophy-style reward system will be enough to deter disconnectors. The localised version of We Love Golf will also contain new characters, tweaked graphics which will appeal to international players, and Camelot are also rethinking the swing speed. We Love Golf is set for a release at some point this year in North America and Europe. http://n-europe.com/news.php?nid=11588
dazzybee Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 This is awesome news, I was excited about this game anyway, love golf games and this i meant to be awesome. Online sweetens it even more!! Is there a release date for Europe?
Cookyman Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Yup online is the clincher for me! and as this is the only online golf game for the Wii this looks like the one to get if the reviews are good! : peace:
Retro_Link Posted April 2, 2008 Author Posted April 2, 2008 Courses and Swing controls walkthrough http://www.gametrailers.com/player/32460.html The controls seem great! Really looking forward to this one!
Domstercool Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 I'll probably be picking this up too as well. I'm in a fun golf mood after playing the excellent Everybody's Golf on PS3. Woo Apollo Justice, gotta pay it for that
steggy Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 God all the modes availiable make it pretty obvious that this is a spiritual successor to Mario Golf, even the menu system is very similar. Don't bother me, as I loved Mario Golf on the GC , and playing with classic capcom "costumes" will make a good alternative. Not to mention the Wii controls seem good.
dazzybee Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Anyone picked this up? I really love a good golf game but after hearing that Tiger Woods 09 has meant to have absolutely nailed the controls I may wait it out. This looks so good though......

I was wondering about this just 10 mins ago as I was reading the ONM review. The review seems very positive but I want to know how good the controls are. They do mention them but ONM tend to sugar coat things and I would much rather hear a hands on from someone on the boards. I will probably pick it up at some point anyway as im a sucker for all things Capcom.
darksnowman Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Lol, notch me up as the third. I was thinking about We Love Golf last night and was wondering whether it was worth a buy or not cos I fancied some golfing. I had a look at the Eurogamer review- they gave it a 6/10. http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=164846
MATtheHAT Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Anyone got this? I really fancy it (Gonna get Tiger Woods 09 for the PS3). It looks fantastic and some positive reviews. The online sounds fun.

Tiger Woods on the Wii is meant to be great, why don't you just get that, then you don't need to buy this, or Tiger Woods on the PS3
MATtheHAT Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Tiger Woods on the Wii is meant to be great, why don't you just get that, then you don't need to buy this, or Tiger Woods on the PS3 I just think I would prefer Tiger with better graphics and full HD. Thats not to say the wii version will be poor, but IMO, a game like We Love Golf is better suited to the Wii.

I had it but traded it in. I thought the controls were goofy and just couldn't get into the game Why they didn't use the swinging mechanics that Wii Sports and Tiger Woods uses and instead went with the stupid meter thing is beyond me.
