Patch Posted October 1, 2007 Author Posted October 1, 2007 Is the 3rd one streets of rage? Heh, I wondered if that one would fool anyone. *Rubs hands* Try again.
mcj metroid Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 is the first thunderforce 2? I doubt it but still..
MoogleViper Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 I have the third game on an old arcade games disc somewhere. I can't remember the name.
Patch Posted October 2, 2007 Author Posted October 2, 2007 OK, I'll reveal a bit more: 1. 2. 3.
Patch Posted October 2, 2007 Author Posted October 2, 2007 Rampage is correct. Same time post - unlucky Gentleben!
darksnowman Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 This ones for Patch... seeing as what the date is... No need to worry about getting on old boy, just like the Nes you're still cool after all these years!
steggy Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Heh, I wondered if that one would fool anyone.*Rubs hands* Try again. Streets of rage 2, Streets of rage 3? Oh and happy birthday mate. I'm of the opinion you can call 31 late twenty's if you like. I know I will in a few years.
Patch Posted October 2, 2007 Author Posted October 2, 2007 Streets of Rage is the right idea, but not correct. No need to worry about getting on old boy, just like the Nes you're still cool after all these years! Oh and happy birthday mate. I'm of the opinion you can call 31 late twenty's if you like. I know I will in a few years. LOL! Thanks guys. That is one awesome card.
Patch Posted October 2, 2007 Author Posted October 2, 2007 By the way, DarkSnowman, are you into Stephen King? If so, (and if I've read it right) there's a chance you could get this one that no-one got earlier:
darksnowman Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 By the way, DarkSnowman, are you into Stephen King? If so, (and if I've read it right) there's a chance you could get this one that no-one got earlier: An S.K game? Thats pretty obscure stuff you'vre dredged up! Any other hints you can give me or will I start listing '80's novel titles? :p And to keep the ball rolling with number three up there I'll guess Rival Turf. I know its not though... and what about Double Dragon?!
Patch Posted October 2, 2007 Author Posted October 2, 2007 An S.K game? Thats pretty obscure stuff you'vre dredged up! Any other hints you can give me or will I start listing '80's novel titles? :p I thought, given your high profile, this screenshot might interest you... Argh, I can just see someone else getting this before you now. And to keep the ball rolling with number three up there I'll guess Rival Turf. I know its not though... and what about Double Dragon?! Double Dragon, Streets of Rage. Both so close. It's a very well known game.
darksnowman Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Oh my, there was a Dark Tower computer game...? Google time to find out the low down on this...! Edit: that didn't take long... it doesn't sound like it has much to do with the Dark Tower of Roland and co. Here's the back of the box for anyone else thats curious: Have you ever played this Patch?
Patch Posted October 2, 2007 Author Posted October 2, 2007 Well done! It is indeed Dark Tower. It has nothing to do with the books, I was just trying to give you a clue based on the books and this game having the same name. I owned it for the Commodore 16 - one of my first ever games. In my experience, it is one of the most infuriatingly difficult games ever made. Touch an enemy, you die. Fall too far, you die. Glance out the window for a second, you die. Ah, great memories.
darksnowman Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Sounds like a typical old classic rage invoking game with death facing you at every move! I'm suprised I've never heard of this before when reading of Dark Tower things - maybe cos it's so poor its best left forgotten??
Patch Posted October 2, 2007 Author Posted October 2, 2007 Yes, probably! I don't think anyone could play this for more than a few minutes.
Patch Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 More reveals: 1. 3. The first is an arcade shooter. The third, well, the third needs no introduction.
nekunando Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 ..well.. the first one there is Raiden II.. Is the last one there... Final Fight? It doesn't really look like it, but I'm trying to get lucky..
Patch Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 Correct. Here are the original pictures. Zechs Merquise Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Damn, I thought the last was Final Fight, I should've spoke up sooner, but I just wasn't sure. That was one cool Birthday card, 30 does sounds quite old but I'm headed there soon too!
Patch Posted October 5, 2007 Author Posted October 5, 2007 Here's a couple more. 1. 2.
Patch Posted October 5, 2007 Author Posted October 5, 2007 Good try - they do look similar. It's a game that was released on many formats.
