BlueStar Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 I don't think you're making as clever a juxtaposition as you think between Ronaldo striking someone and being punished fairly harshly for it and Gerrard striking someone and getting away with it.
Dyson Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 I don't think you're making as clever a juxtaposition as you think between Ronaldo striking someone and being punished fairly harshly for it and Gerrard striking someone and getting away with it. Was thinking exactly the same thing
Ant-Shimmin Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 I hope you could tell by the tone of my post I wasn't exactly being serious... Still Two Wrongs Don't Make A Right...
Dexter Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Gerrard has a hairline fracture of his toe, and hes still going to play on Sunday. Thats crazy. Hairline fractures must be all the rage at the moment...
conzer16 Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Good to see Beckham getting off the mark in the MLS.
Platty Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Good to see Beckham getting off the mark in the MLS. Yeah and setting up the 2nd! Went off in the 65th minute to a standing american ovation!
conzer16 Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Indeed! Nice to see him starting. He captained as well didn't he?
flameboy Posted August 16, 2007 Author Posted August 16, 2007 Great result for pompey, we didn't play as well as we have done in the past at home versus man utd, but I'm pretty happy with that. I said to my dad I'd be happy with a draw considering our awful fixtures at the start of the season, Sets us up nicely for the home tie at bolton before; Chelsea v Portsmouth Arsenal v Portsmouth Portsmouth v Liverpool If we can pick up a couple of points from the big 4 I'd be happy. Hopefully beat a poor looking bolton.
Fields Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 A point ahead of the Mancs with a game in hand, love it By the way... Is this supposed to symbolise Leeds United crumbling apart...?
conzer16 Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Eh...it's the Leeds crest on the island of Ireland??
harribo Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 So whos going to watch the Wednesday v Rovrum match on Sky Sports tonight then? I reckon Rovrum will beat us.
conzer16 Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Watching the build up at the mo. If it's a good game I'll watch it. If it's shit, I won't.
Ant-Shimmin Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 You shud be used to his stupidness in this thread by now. I Should also be used to your condescending manner, but I'm not....Sadly..... Oh Well, Cannae Wait for the Chelsea Game... Beckham still hasn't done enough to warrant his massive wage the prat... Need's to be doing more, overhead kicks and the like
BlueStar Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Need's to be doing more, overhead kicks and the like Like this one (Look at Geremi's reaction lol) http://www.whoateallthepies.tv/76058949.jpg If it had been scored by Rooney or Ronaldo we'd have been seeing it all weekend and in every footy programme intro for the next year, but alas.
Ant-Shimmin Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Like this one (Look at Geremi's reaction lol) http://www.whoateallthepies.tv/76058949.jpg If it had been scored by Rooney or Ronaldo we'd have been seeing it all weekend and in every footy programme intro for the next year, but alas. T'was a good Finish, your right about the Rooney and Ronaldo thing, Their goals are always massivly over done, strokes the ego's of the Glory Hunters though So Hey I still maintain this was one of the best goals seen by a player in a long time... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5LV31knC4Y But it's Crouch so it was a flu......Hang On? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-mKvSFSlqo&mode=related&search= Just came across this as well Crouch doing the Hotstepper!
Fields Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Eh...it's the Leeds crest on the island of Ireland?? Eh... sense of humour?? Looks like a crumbling Leeds badge. OK, yeah, it wasn't very funny

harribo Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 They just called Leon Clarke a "talented lad". Needless to say I pissed me sen.
Fierce_LiNk Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 T'was a good Finish, your right about the Rooney and Ronaldo thing, Their goals are always massivly over done, strokes the ego's of the Glory Hunters though So Hey You moan that people stereotype Liverpudlians or Liverpool fans, yet you do exactly the same thing with Manchester United supporters. You can't have it both ways.
Ant-Shimmin Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 You moan that people stereotype Liverpudlians or Liverpool fans, yet you do exactly the same thing with Manchester United supporters. You can't have it both ways. People will continously slate Liverpool Fans no matter what I do or say on this forum so I really have lost the "battle" anyway....
Slaggis Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 People will continously slate Liverpool Fans no matter what I do or say on this forum so I really have lost the "battle" anyway.... Yes, but thats no reason for you to do the same to another team is it?
Max Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 im actually beagining to think liverpool may actually have a chance to win the league (a small chance yes but still a chance bigger than arsenals). reason being that all the other teams will gun for united and chelsea as they are the "big teams" allowing liverpool to chip away points against while other teams put up fights of their lives aginst united and chelsea. liverpool as a result will be played with slightly less respect and so will capatalise on it. reminds me of the season AS Roma won the italian league while the set of the league was trying to stop Juve and milan.
