Daft Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Thanks guys! I'm glad you like them!! I've got one or two more I might post up later! Most the credit goes to my camera.
Emasher Posted November 6, 2007 Author Posted November 6, 2007 Let me guess, it has a special fireworks mode?
Daft Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Let me guess, it has a special fireworks mode? .......urrrrmm.....maaaaaaaybe...I still had to aim!
Emasher Posted November 8, 2007 Author Posted November 8, 2007 It still isn't that easy timing a shot of a firework.
Marshmellow Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 I really love that second picture Daft! Here's my share of fireworks from last 4th of July.
Coolness Bears Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Those are great Pictures Marshmellow! Looks like you saw some AWESOME! Fireworks. Those pictures reminds me a bit of Geometry Wars.
Daft Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 WOW!! Nice one Marshmellow, those fireworks are crazy!!! I much prefer yours! This one is my favorite! How was you camera set up exactly??
Marshmellow Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Thanks guys. I don't know I was just sitting in a chair taking pictures like mad. Thats my favorite too:D
Emasher Posted November 10, 2007 Author Posted November 10, 2007 Is it a Canon? I think they all have a fireworks mode.
BowserBasher Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 I finally took the time to really get to know Photoshop lately and decided to have a go at something. I came up with the following. Yes, I know they have probably been done to death. Larger version. and Larger version.
Emasher Posted February 12, 2008 Author Posted February 12, 2008 Had to do this for school, I thought I'd post it here because its game related:
Eenuh Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 Instead of working on stuff for school, I experimented a bit with this drawing here. Was fun to do. Sepia ink for characters and border, then added in the texture and the music notes in the background with Photoshop. =D
Paj! Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 Very cool Eenuh! I'm trying to upload some of my life drawings. I finally put them on my Mac. Excuse the dodgy camera work, it makes things look a little out o proportion unfortunately. Yeah, photobuket is acting up, i'll try and get more up tomorrow.
Eenuh Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 Looking nice Paj. =D What size is it drawn on? And are you in some art course (you might've said this before already)? Wouldn't mind seeing more model drawings. =3 I have quite a few from this year, but a lot of them are fast sketches (a lot drawn with my left hand even), so not sure they're worth posting. =O
Paj! Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 It's just a Life Drawing course in school I do. I'll try and get some more up now. They'e usually about A2, maybe? Fairly big. Like a big piece of paper, but not overly big. lol. They fit on boards on an easel. This one is when we were looking at planes of tone and stuff. Even though I didn't "finish", I like it as it is.

Ah yeah, we use A3 for quick sketches, then A1 or bigger even for the more detailed/longer drawings. =) I really like this one you posted, looks great, especially on the neck and upper arm. And drawings don't always need to be finished I think. =D
Paj! Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 Thanks! (this should have rotated by now..here's hoping) This was just for fun. I was going to be away for the last 2 sessions of the course, so the teacher just said I could do what I wanted. I'd not yet done a close up piece yet. It's obviously not finished, as you can see by the hair/hairband bits, that haven't been refined. This photo makes this pic look a lot worse, if I do say so. It's squint for a start, also, the linseed oil effect isn't a nice as it is in real life, and the odd yellow bit is actually white/grey... Still, I quite like it.

I got 122 first time round. Nice little game, but it's very annoying when they go almost below the taskbar.
Emasher Posted February 19, 2008 Author Posted February 19, 2008 Thats one of the bugs I'm going to work out for the next release. I'm also going to add more sound effects. My new record is 127.
Paj! Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 I got 70, but to be fair I hd no idea what was going on at the start.
Emasher Posted February 19, 2008 Author Posted February 19, 2008 I got 70, but to be fair I hd no idea what was going on at the start. I think I only got 45 my first time. Though I think I've made it slightly easier since. Tomorrow I use a Wii remote. Edit: New release. Its harder (the enemy is smaller and you need to kill 70 of them instead of 50). And a few bugs and typos were fixed. So the guy doesn't go too low down anymore. I'm planning on creating a new level most weekends. also the original version of my avatar:
