Ashley Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 A song has never made me cry. Songs have made me upset (and other emotions) but never cry. Closest I got was "People Ain't No Good" which is on the Shrek 2 soundtrack ('Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds' I think) because I was in a crappy mood anyway but didn't cry.
Dan_Dare Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 so...New Interpol you say? fucking amazing you say? sweet lord, you're right!
killthenet Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 If you've ever cried at a film, then you've cried because of music. Without music tearful scenes in most movies would have no chance of inducing tears.

The music by itself may not make you cry in a different context. But I did cry at the episode of Buffy called 'The Body' which didn't have any music.
gmac Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 so...New Interpol you say? fucking amazing you say? sweet lord, you're right! I shall give my opinions on this soon enough plus I'm seeing them in less than two weeks time
Paj! Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 *has a musical orgasm as the final roll of drums play at the end of "Dull Flame Of Desire" By Bjork* *lies on the floor weeping once again* *gets up* Ahh..
Wesley Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 so...New Interpol you say? fucking amazing you say? sweet lord, you're right! Hell yes. I shall give my opinions on this soon enough plus I'm seeing them in less than two weeks time And I'm jealous and annoyed. I was meant to be going on the 20th of August but didn't realise my flight to Turkey leaves at 3AM that morning so I can't go.

The drummer on that song is Brian Chippendale, drummer in the band Lightning Bolt. You should check out some of their stuff.
Hellfire Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 http://youtube.com/watch?v=GnpIKRwCIyo Ah this rocked.
Oxigen_Waste Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 http://youtube.com/watch?v=GnpIKRwCIyoAh this rocked. LOL love the "\m/" hands!! That's the corniest thing ever invented. If only that wasn't so expensive... Anywho... Gonna see Mastodon and Metallica tomorrow, yay! And throw bottles at that fucktard Satriani.
harribo Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Why are metal fans such pricks to bands they dislike?
Twozzok Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 "In June 2006, The Mean Fiddler was sold—together with the London Astoria—to property group Derwent Valley Central, who plan to convert the site to a combination of shops, flats and offices to raise money during the Olympics. It will continue to be rented to the Mean Fiddler group until 2008." I want to just scream profanities at this
The Bard Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Why are metal fans such pricks to bands they dislike? Because were genetically superior. Hey, I said it, I'm a Nazi.
Oxigen_Waste Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Why are metal fans such pricks to bands they dislike? Because Satriani writes the most feeling deprived music I've ever heard. It's common with these over-techincall outfits, like Dream Theater or Symphony X. Their music is great, but hollow... wich in time makes you realize that there's so much better out there. I have decided CSS are fantastic. If you're talking about Cansei De Ser Sexy, they suck. On too many levels.
harribo Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 no they don't. Seconded. I've been in love with them since last September/October.
Oxigen_Waste Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 no they don't. Yes, I assure you, they do. And you're lucky, you can't understand the lyrics to Superafim and other of their brazilian songs! God, these guys are... garbage, just recicled music! They're just like the Linkin Park of Synth-Pop.
Paj! Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 no they don't, too. lol like united opinions. I love them. All music is recycled. Unless you use brand new intruments. I.e Bjork using the ReacTable on her Volta World tour. (She is generally inovative anyway) I love CSS.
Ashley Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 Louis XIV anyone? Been listening to their album again recently and loving it all over again. They're so smutty but catchy. Random lyrics: Just go quite a bit faster Pretend that I'm gagged and bound Oh how I love to hear that sound Ah bang a gong or get it on We don't need to take off our clothes to get it on Pull your skirt up a little bit Pull down your top and show me a little tit Granted its no "I want to fuck you like an animal" but still, fun. And if that doesn't please you this (apparently 18-rated but I don't see why, could be an American thing) video for Pledge of Allegience may: http://www.youtube.com/watch?eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.louisxiv.net%2Fmultimedia.html&v=OBwTruMjNlc Girl in panties parading around.
