McPhee Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Does anyone else find the Red Nose Day telly show a bit cringe worthy. I mean I'll happily give money to the charity, but the actual night itself I always find a bit dire. I pretty much agree with where Jack Dee was coming from on Celebrity Big Brother a few years back when he said the only reason he was in it was so he could raise money while avoiding the whole thing. Anyhoo, I'll probably just cuddle up with my dogs and watch a film tonight instead. im not a massive fan either but theres usually some good bits. I'll probably just flick back + forth between RND, Xbox and a film (got Superman Returns from LOVEFiLM and not watched it yet)
Katie Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 I haven't seen Lenny Henry at all yet, when I think RND, I think Lenny Henry, is he still involved in it all alot? Is he doing anything this year, does anyone know? I've seen him on a couple of things lately. Ade Edmindson was doing a programme about it and he was on that speaking about RND. We didn't do anything at work for RND not even dress down day, very boring.
gaggle64 Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Who's inside that giant Red Nose costume? He must have the best work uniform in the world.
Dyson Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 I think its quite good, infact i'm recording the whole thing...Yes i'm sad. Me too.. Also, I was on TV thanks to RND! South Today, at the end. Farnborough 6th made the huge figure 6 and the Nose from the sky, and you can see me with my harmonica in my hand when they talk to someone. I also have a shuffle around my neck :P
gaggle64 Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 I've decided to donate what ever amount I can find on my desk. Also... Is it wrong to actually want to watch a Catherine Tate sketch when David Tenant is involved?
Fields Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 I wish Lenny Henry would fuck off. Probably the least funny person on the planet.
Eddage Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 I wish Lenny Henry would fuck off. Probably the least funny person on the planet. Replace 'Lenny Henry' with 'Fields' and I would whole-heartedly agree...
Fields Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Actually, I would donate a very large sum of money to Comic Relief if they promised to keep him off my TV for the duration of the event (and, preferably, for good).
gaggle64 Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Here's the link for anyone that can donate Go on Time to get those wallets out people, c'mon andelay ariba!
welsh_gamer Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 I want to see Mr Bean on it. He cocks up someones wedding or something....cnt wait for Top Gear either. No doubt all the best bits will be on YouTube soon for all who missed, or who can't be bothered to watch the whole telathon just for one or two sketches.
Katie Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 That Mr Bean sketch was already on, I think they might repeat stuff later though.
Bren Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Waiting for 10pm! TOP GEAR!!! is their a top gear special at 10 or something? I missed it so much on sunday, I NEED IT
Domstercool Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 There's a Red Nose Day Top Gear Special on at 10pm on BBC1. It's the Top Gear of the pops.
Rummy Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 I've decided to donate what ever amount I can find on my desk. Also... Is it wrong to actually want to watch a Catherine Tate sketch when David Tenant is involved? It was actually pretty funny, nice twist with the shakespeare, it made me kind of want to read romeo and juliet, which I realised I've never read. As for Lenny Henry, I quite like him, though he does jarr a bit sometimes, he's better than some other so called 'comedians' though. I just donated £10, I know it's not alot in the grand scheme of things, but it's quite alot for me at the moment, so I feel good about it
arnold Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Question, it's been bugging me ever since I saw it.. In I would Roll 500 Miles video, it showed him a couple of times, Who the Helli s that guy with the Big Plastic head? I Know I know him off of something when I was a kid but For the life of me I can't even bloody remember ;-;
gaggle64 Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 The Supergrass performance was 'mazing. It's ages since I've seen a rock band doing something which actually looked like a rock concert.
triforce_keeper Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Vicar Of Dibley last episode OMG Alice has wrinkles But pissed myself as always, well done Dawn!
Charlie Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Top Gear was hilarious. I really hope the 500 Miles version doesn't become big like the Amarillo version did 2 years ago. That version of it was horrific.
Dyson Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 LMFAO, Top Gear was great. Jizzy Tissue? Ahahaha! Not to mention McFly's fantastic efforts at the Top Gear Blues, and of course, May, Hamster and Clarkson's dreadfully brilliant stab at a band! Clarkson's counting was hilarious stuff!
welsh_gamer Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 My god, Tony Blair is acting.....something he is certanley used too. Ouch, that "Am I bovered face" made me cringe mega bad!
Dyson Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Holy shit, that was the best thing I've seen Blair do, ever. Amazing that a man with such a reputation to upgold would take part in such a sketch actually! Good on the man.
Katie Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 I really enjoyed the Ricky Gervais sketch, all the others getting in was funny. Looking forward to Borat & Mitchell & Webb, it's a pretty good show this year. Don't forget to donate!
