BGS Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 That is pretty cool! Wouldn't be bothered so much by the A button but the four LEDs at the bottom look awesome. Shame I know that I'll never be arsed or want to risk fucking up my wiimote to actually attempt this
Jasper Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 It looks like christmas. We don't need a guidance light to find the buttons, do we?
4q2 Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 "Each kit is enough for 1 remote with spare LEDs or 2 kits would be enough for 3 if no mistakes are made." Lol, this guy was obviously using precision soldering methods. Not.
Fierce_LiNk Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Those multicoloured lights at the bottom look amazing. However, I would never hurt my Wiimotes.
Ramar Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 However, I would never hurt my Wiimotes. But I would!! Hand them over!! I would love to try modding some wii-motes, I do have an a level in electronics.. But would I be able to pull it off so well.

The problems will come when the soldering iron tip is too big or heat is applied to the circuit board too long.
Ramar Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Things I'd be worried about would be messing up the sensor circuitry and thus wasting £30. And the finish, whether I could get it all fit in properly, without looking at the insides of a Wii-remote first I wouldn't attempt it. Maybe one day when the wii-remotes are cheaper and easily found I'll give it a whirl.
Kurtle Squad Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 That colour order only works with some games though
BeerMonkey Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 i like the bottom pic the 4 colours thing looks ace

Wise move...Personally I wouldnt start touching any of it till the warranty dies even though leds are childs play....Then I would have to be pretty bored, On the subject of screwing up the sensors, I have a feeling they are more robust than than ppl trust judging by those early stories of wii mote damage.
Rummy Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 I would, but I worry for screwing it up. It's pretty cool, but I say that about alot of mods I'd never do cos I suck with electronics kind of. I'd feel like I'd have violated my wii somehow too, which sounds real stupid. I'd love to see the guy who tries and screws it up try to take it back to the shop 'So...er...it just changed colours overnight...'
solitanze Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 I wonder if they managed to get Dolby 5.1 in the Wii Remotes speaker.
flameboy Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 looks awesome but would never do it myself as wouldn't wanna risk busting a wii remote.
