Rummy Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Given that it was Christmas just yesterday, I got alot of money. I feel like I am at liberty to spend around £50 and wish to do so on my Wii. I'm not sure what to buy though, and so I am looking for suggestions. Can anyone recommend something really worth getting for the wii? I have Zelda already, wiiplay, and a few VC titles(no Classic controller, GC pad does me fine). What would you suggest is well worth the money? Preferably something that'll last me a while.
KKOB Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Monkey Balls single player or Red Steel-i like both. or wait a couple weeks and get WarioWare
triforcemario Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Red Steel and Rayman: Raving Rabbids.
triforce_keeper Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 If your looking for fun then Rayman is great. But will not last you that long. Although there is a score mode where you can get high scored on the 75 minigames. But Super Monkey Ball is great but takes a little gettin g used to and I think the main mode is quite long. On top of that there is 50 minigames to play!
fanman Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 I'm keeping my money for wario ware and maybe excite truck. Not worth getting any more of the launch games.
motion Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Same sort of boat. Can get 2 games, 1 will be Rayman, apart from that (I've got Zelda, Monkey Ball and Wii Play) there's nothing else that great I don't think. 90% of Monkey Ball's minigames are rubbish. Even Target (amazing on gamecube) is pretty bad here, though still one of the best.
flameboy Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 same boat can get one game, but am gonna wait for wario ware.
Solo Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 I went into Game today, I asked if they had any component cables for Wii, they said yes. I asked how much it was, they said £32.99, I told them to shove it. I think I will wait.

triforce_keeper Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 and £17.99 for the nunchuk. they seem to be charging £3 extra on all accessories I've noticed. Robbing bastards.
fanman Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 and £17.99 for the nunchuk. they seem to be charging £2 extra on all accesories I've noticed. Robbing bastards. That's £3 extra. RRP is £14.99.
Goron_3 Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Wait a few weeks and buy Wario ware. If your desperate for a new game i'd pick either madden or Rayman.
triforce_keeper Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 That's £3 extra. RRP is £14.99. Thanks fanman. I'm good at maths, my brain is dead due too the wii......honest!
Rummy Posted December 26, 2006 Author Posted December 26, 2006 I noticed that with GAME on launch. Thanks for the advice guys, sounds like it's worth waiting til theres a few more releases out for the Wii. Does anyone know if the Wii version of Marvel Ultimate Alliance is out yet? I'm considering renting it and getting my mate round, see what it's like if it's worth buying. Wish GAME still did 10 day returns though
Daft Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Wish GAME still did 10 day returns though I hear you! I remember that worked a treat with PC games....not that I would condone that sort of thing!
Rummy Posted December 26, 2006 Author Posted December 26, 2006 Didn't they stop taking PC games a very long time ago? They were excluded from the 10 day returns back in 2004 time. I don't see why they got rid of the 10 day returns, it actually made me buy more games from them than I would now. Now I'll end up renting, then buying off play.com, rather than buying something under the 10 day thing, knowing I can take it back, but getting keen on it and just keeping it.

The Bard Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Dragonball Z is out in a few days, I'm getting that. You should also probably go for Red Steel, as it is crazy good.
Shorty Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 I got no money for Christmas... howcomes everyone gets money for Christmas?
Rummy Posted December 27, 2006 Author Posted December 27, 2006 I might consider something for my gameless PS2, or an old gc game. Time to bop over to the GC forum! Thanks everyone.
