Finally got my Wii all hooked up to my new HD Tv. Anyone looking for a good affordable HDTV should have a look at the Goodmans LD2655HD from Comet, £399 with HDMI, component, VGA, RGB Scart, 26 inch. Got it at Christmas and have been extremely impressed with the quality. Let me know what you think of the set up.

The room has another 3 metres from the furthest back photo, so there is plenty of space for wii sports :yay:

Not quite. 32" HD LCD, id recommend turning the sharpness quite low though to avoid jagged lines on the picture.

Haha, it looked quite small in the picture. I'm not expecting Wii to look that good on it, it's mainly for my 360. I've played Zelda on the HDTV downstairs and it looked pretty bad.

From Currys?

I'm thinking of getting that one if so. Definatly in the market for a new TV in the next couple of weeks anyway.

It is available from Currys, but my Dad ordered one from a work catalogue. Basically just the web deals prices. It looks really nice and I've heard good things about it. Plus the 23" one has a HDMI socket.

I was going to get the 26" one but they were out of stock plus I only have a tiny room so it's probably for the best.

I'd go with the samsung. I read somewhere sony are dropping their lcd range (?)

On the otherhand though the samsung one looks nice, I think the sony will be more at home and fit in more with other electronics as it doesnt have that little curvy bump that the sammy does.

Back in the years of yore, sony screen was the best. Not so sure now but hope this has helped you a little.

Heres mine was going to wait till i got my new TV but can not decide between the Sony Braiva U series 26" or the Samsung 26" any advice??

The picture is from my phone camera, so its not great quality.

Go for the Samsung. Sonys are over rated and over priced and I've had bad experiencs with Sony's warrentys. My 32" Samsung is awesome and looks great.

par-don! I know sony has a worldwide warrenty. As far as I know sammy's dont do that.
