Rare Games Question, Virtual Console.
Teppo Holmqvist replied to ReZourceman's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Goldeneye is possible if Nintendo and Activision make a deal about Bond license. Rare was only developer* for the game, and they don't have publishing rights for it. * Perfect Dark and few other later Rare games are different, as Rare both developed and published these games. Rare never had any rights to DKC series, and Nintendo could have ported them to GBA without Rare. But Microsoft just decided for some reason that it would allow Rare to do games for Nintendo's handheld devices, and Rare approached Nintendo about DCK ports. -
Cheetah Men II. I mean it's scary how someone can make games like this. http://www.nesretro.com/movies/CheetahMenII.avi http://www.geocities.com/teampsygnosis/nesgame11.html

Indeed. If I just could find NTSC copy for reasonable price. -
Wii has toaster, waffle iron and water boiler built-in!

Yes, it's possible. PC does have some homebrew Dreamcast emulators that run relatively well even with 1.2 GHZ processor. Most homebrew emulators eat lots of unnecessary resources as their coders don't have official documents, time and/or technical know-how to optimize emulator's code. Sega doesn't lack any of these, and could optimize code very well especially as Wii is closed platform. Sega Saturn is little more problematic, as it has actually four miniprocessors inside. Emulating setup like this is pretty resource demanding even if you know what you are doing.

Australia's rating board has added ratings for both Legend of Zelda and A Link to the Past to their database, so it's pretty possible that they will be on VC from the first day.

I don't have much to collect anymore: 68 games. -
I can also confirm this, as Gamestop's managers had about two months ago chance to test Wii in Nintendo's meeting. MSA was also there, and guy who posted his impressions on GAF / Penny-Arcade forums said that there was also support for classic controller.

Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
Teppo Holmqvist replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Fixed for clarity. Only true idiot gets melodramatic over game and starts to scream how company x has "betrayed" him. BTW, I give 2.8 out 10 for your pretentious and stupid post. -

As you can see from product's info page, these aren't made by Nintendo, but 3rd party company party that's called Venom. -
Marvel ultimate aliance wii screens
Teppo Holmqvist replied to opentarget's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Update. Current list of playable characters: Beta Ray Bill [Alt for Thor] Black Panther Blade Captain America Colossus Daredevil Deadpool Dr. Strange Dr. Strange (1602 edition) [Alt for Dr. Strange] Elektra Ghost Rider Human Torch Iceman Invisible Woman Iron Man Khonshu [Alt for Moon Knight] Luke Cage Moon Knight Mr. Fantastic Phantom Rider [Alt for Ghost Rider] Scarlet Spider [Alt for Spider-Man] Silver Surfer Spider-Man Storm The Thing Thor US Agent [Alt for Captain America] War Machine [Alt for Iron Man] Vengeance [Alt for Ghost Rider] Wolverine [unannounced] [unannounced] [unannounced] Unlike in Raven Software's earlier Marvel RPGs, each character has four alternate costumes. Each alt costume represent different era / universe and give character different powers. For example, Elektra's Ultimate Universe costume gives Elektra power to regain energy from each slain opponent. And many suits are basically fan services. For example, one of the Captain America's alt costumes is WWII costume and Ghost Rider's alt costume is Phantom Rider, Marvel's obscure cowboy hero from late 60's. -
Argos now taking preorders (uk release list)
Teppo Holmqvist replied to Kaxxx's topic in Nintendo Gaming
SNK has nearly always* released its titles on Europe, but its going to take some time before they do that. So I wouldn't really worry about it. And I would be really surprised that Ubisoft wouldn't release Blazing Angels here. That would be their first "US only" title. * Samurai Shodown V was exception to the rule for some reason. Launch window games. And people really should understand before drawing any hasty conclusions that Argos's list only has games that will be released on same day with the Wii. For example, when Xbox 360 was launched, lots of titles that were promised to be available on launch day came couple of days later. -
By my understanding only thing that they did cut is that you can't control Sam Fisher during parachuting. It's CGI demo in other versions.
-
It's sold as a budget game. Argos has listed 29 pounds as a price for it, but I believe actual price will be lower.

Teppo Holmqvist replied to Kaxxx's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Remember that Argos's list only contains games that will be released same day with the Wii, not those that, for example, come out week after launch. -
I don't think that PS3 has been released yet.
-
On the Red Steel hands-on, problem was clearly on TV-setup. I have put explanation up on RS thread.

Baten Kaitos Origins Official Thread
Teppo Holmqvist replied to Stocka's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Yup, lots of twists. And yes, you are once again spirit thingy, but you will find your spirit's origin story quite surprising. -
My friend said that it was easily worst playable game in E3. Controls were extremely clumsy and limited and graphics weren't that hot.
-
That would be most logical explanation. I don't think that its necessary to include Wii Sports on that list when there is huge stcker "includes Wii Sports" on the front. Plus it's possible that Wii Sports will be replaced later with another title.
-
Same Famitsu president who believed PSP to beat DS by wide margin?
-
How you can say that games are buggy? Have you played 'em? And no, no matter how you try to twist it, bugs that appear in unfinished demoversion don't count.
-
I don't know if this is sarcasm or not. Well, you clearly stated how only cons that Wii has that "it is not HD or surround sound". And you also clearly said that these two "cons outweigh the benefits" that Wii has. No matter how you read it, these two quotes basically mean that you put surround sound and HD-resolution over everything else. And no, great graphics don't mean HD. HD means only bigger resolution, nothing else. And how I don't know what you think about Wii? You have posted for long time in Revo-Europe's forum. Most your Wii post's have been negative. Why I can't draw conclusions from that? Or are you simply stating that you post negative messages just for fun and without believing on what you say?
