Except that Nintendo never promised to launch before PS3, just that launch would be before end of year. And ask Europeans and Australians about PS3 and how long it is going to take before they can buy it. Worldwide launch my ass... Pokemon Battle Revolution comes out in Japan before end of this year and features online play. Same was said about DS and PSP. Except that Nintendo didn't promise Mario to be in launch. That was just wishful thinking by media.

It's not precise at all, because that is US list (there isn't Euro list yet). But yeah, you're right that we can except most of these games before end of march.
-
I'm actually going to do that, as local supermarket always gets more consoles on launch than there is actual demand.

"It is too expensive!" "Nobody isn't going to buy it on that price!" "Nintendo is d00m3d!11!1!"

Short History of Turbographx-16

** Bump ** I just decided to bump this because most of our members don't still know anything about PC-Engine. -
Probably keyboard and mouse, as Wii's USB ports are standard.

Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
Teppo Holmqvist replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yeah, but the truth is that game reviewers really aren't that good players. Very often games look far worse in preview videos than in reality because there is some retard reviewer playing game. And this has happened with every console. -
Well, you are they guy with extremely aggressive stance. You use lots of exclamation marks. You swear.
-
That's perfectly true and I think that everybody is hoping for it. Whole situation will, however, get better when last generation will finally phase out, and there isn't simply stuff to which port from.

Grow up, whelp.

Seriously, by judging how you write, scream and complain you can't be that old (I'm believing 15-17 years). And most people who are complaining prices here are young people without stable income, you can't deny that. It is also fun how other forums, where console gaming is only side-topic, Wii price is said to be great.

And Xbox 360 is also sold with huge losses.
-
Sure, it has sold 1.3 million units so far in Europe. It does badly without competition. Believe me, having actual competition in Europe doesn't help situation at all.

Let see.... First of all, stick has also gyroscope. Even as mass produced it does cost around 2-5 dollars per unit, especially as nunchuk's gyroscope is miniaturized. Then there are some basic things that always ramp up prices no matter how simple actual product is. 1) Salaries. Well, no matter how automatic assembly lines are, you still need staff. And staff's salaries are directly calculated to final price. 2) Transporation. Transporting stuff overseas is expensive. After that, you must also pay to distribute your products to retail outlets around the country. Current oil prices and unfavorable exchange rates also ramp transportation up. 3) Material. Well, like Nintendo itself said, Wii's plastic is better class plastic with coating. More expensive. Once again oil ramps prices up. 4) Warehousing. You need have space where to store your products. You also need to notice situation where products don't sell. In those cases, they are just lying around warehouse, taking space and actually costing you money. Risk of this is also calculated to price. 5) R&D. Nintendo did spent over 400 million dollars for Wii's R&D last year. You can imagine that these expenses aren't quickly covered. Naturally R&D costs are added into controller's price. 6) Profit margin. After all aformentioned crap, it would be really nice to actually see some profit from each sold product.

So... I'm blind fanboy because I'm reasonable? I'm fanboy because I'm tired to heard same, tired bitching about controller from spoiled teenagers whose main income is what they get from their parents? Teenagers who also don't know anything about economics or engineering, and can't even understand how expensive it is to mass produce device with minaturized wireless technology, gyroscopes, accelometres and infrared sensors. Sure, if these are main qualifications for fanboy, then I'm one. P.S. Dots, commas, capital letters, grammar and space key were invented for reason. I would recommend you to use them.

Yeah, Cube had similar "problem" in launch. I mean, Rogue Squadron II did get 9.4 in Gamespot, which I think is way too much. It's good game, but not exceptional.

The truth is that Project Gotham Racing 3 was overhyped and many reviewers found lots of excuses to give it higher score to it than it really should had. Same was with Perfect Dark Zero where many serious flaws were often ignored by saying "online game is sooo goood" (and even that wasn't that great in reality). And it also had choppy framerate.
-
And you can also add much vaunted Ninety-Nine Nights into that list too. And probably also Too Human, as most reviewers who have played it say it is average.
-
I don't honestly believe that is possible, because Gamecube controller would be running out of buttons on some games (you don't have select button, for example).
-
With any standard SD card. Cards that store more than 2 GB's worth of stuff aren't standard, so keep that in mind. Seriously, we don't even know how expensive controller is to produce. I mean, it is quite complex technology and probably most expensive invidual component on whole package. So I can't really say if it is "rip-off". Of course, it is also quite clear that all three are pumping accessory prices up now as lucrative memory card business has ended.

DivX isn't going to happen as it is commercial codec with relatively high royalties. But XVid is open source, and license allows that it can be used even in commercial products. It also plays most DivX movies correctly.

Break even for this year. There is no way that selling 4 million consoles wordwide with loss could cover over 6 billion dollar loses that Xbox made during four years. Or even cover Xbox 360's unknown development costs that probably fly around 500 million dollars.
-
You know, there is always room for more arcadey racing games if they are done well. Of course you are right that Nintendo should create more realistic racer also.
-
Did you look the video? Did you? No, of course you didn't... It looks (like all Wii games) far better in motion.
-
Too complex word for Yarnton.
