Fulfilling the order I guess? People on here determined to have multiple orders has me concerned. Not bothered if I receive it a few days late.
-
Got a preorder with Shopto...anyone know how reliable they are?
-
I hope so, just concerned about Middlesborough....they looked solid last year, invested and they've still been shite. That worry is for another day though.
-
The title of this thread is accurate. The process of buying house really quashes the excitement of buying a house.
-
And yet you come away with a 1-0 win! I wouldn't worry about top 4, pretty sure the Europa League trophy is headed your way. Good couple of weeks for Newcastle, promoted automatically with a shot at the title on Sunday. We've been a little underwhelming in truth but I'm super SUPER happy we're promoted. If Rafa stays and we have a good transfer window I'll be ecstatic.

I knew it! I called this at the end of last season that they'd get through to the quarters. Hope they get Real Madrid, they should get to play one giant team during this run surely.

As someone who triple captained Aguero in FF, this is why I hate football. Barca result is mental. PSG collapsed, but the referee didn't help from the highlights I've seen. Some very bad decisions in Barca's favour. I would honestly rather lose 10-2 on aggregate than go out like that.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
ipaul replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Obviously I haven't yet played the game but surely that's just clickbait. Give it a fully negative review and you'll stand out. Impressed by the scores. Has Polygon ever given anything a 10? Pretty hyped considering they gave ALBW 9.5 and I adored that game. -
Toon toon! Great result, over the moon with that. Glad how it came about as well, nice to come from behind and win for once. Now onto Huddersfield and Reading away. Win those (or win and draw at least) and I'll be feeling pretty confident about promotion. I hope Brighton do manage to come up with us though, I like Chris Hughton.
-
I agree he should go - who would you want in his place? Pochettino looks quite good maybe try him.

I know you're probably referring to the likes of Beats which are hugely overpriced, but if you get a pair of Headphones worth over £100+, they can be life changingly good. As for the Switch, I don't think the 280 console price is that bad...but the pricey extras, lack of launch games and confusion over online really put me off. I'll follow it with interest and hope it becomes more attractive in a year's time, but I'm starting to think that Nintendo should move to making software from now on.

Why do I never gamble on my good hunches :|

I take your point although 'Atrocious' seems a bit extreme, but you'll be much better by February.
-
I wouldn't feel too bad if I were an Arsenal fan, finish 2nd and they'll get Barca of course, but first would get them Bayern Munich this year.
-
That's not really accurate. It's difficult to imagine mow because they're so dominant and they're the only Itaian team these days who threaten to do anything in Europe, but they 'struggled' for a while. They got promoted in 2007, finished 3rd, 2nd, 7th and 7th. Even in 2012 when they did finally win Serie A again, it was a close run thing and if memory serves I think it even went to the final day against Milan. Conte (along with the neccessary good club management, new stadium and excellent transfers) made them the unchallengeable behemoth they now appear to be. They struggled to get back on top. He was huge for them. I mean it helps when Milan and Inter went to shit but Napoli and Roma you could argue filled that gap anyway. Napoli provided huge competition until the final weeks of the season last year, for a long time looking the favourites.

US Presidential Election 2016 - Nightmare Mode
ipaul replied to gaggle64's topic in General Chit Chat
When Brexit happened, though I voted remain, I could at least take some silver linings from the vote...it probably will be good for sovereignty, immigration is far too high and maybe this might lower it, long term it may even prove to be the right move for the economy. I cannot see any positives from this. None. The best i can come up with is that he might try and protect American jobs and actually help rust belt folk, but I doubt it. What happens to NATO now? Will climate change be completely ignored? Will Russia be given a free pass to do whatever it likes? Will they try and do something with women's rights like abolish abortions? I hope I'm wrong but it looks like an absolute fucking disaster. Never thought I'd be yearning for the halcyon days of George W Bush. Also, I don't think Bernie would have fared much better. All they would have had to do is throw the socialist label at him and that would have been that. -
I'd normally think of this as hyperbole and I can't speak for the hidtory of the prem but watching the highlights, Chelsea were utterly sensational. It was an amazing performance, makes me feel better about thinking they would win the league at the beginning of the season. Not many people seem to remember Conte took Juventus from 7th to 1st and made them the undisputed kings of Serie A. In Newcastle news, 8 wins in a row with a decent gap opening between us and third. Good team spirirt, tactics and passion all at the club right now. It feels great after so long with so much shit.
-
Top of the league!! Was underwhlemed by the signing of Gayle but lordy is he proving me wrong. He's on fire right now.

Having played a decent amount if Fifa 17 now I have to say there's actually a lot to like in both titles. The sheer amount of stuff in Ultimate Team alone is impressive, the journeys actually pretty fun, the menus and every aspect of the presentation is top notch. The gameplay is even nice, good even...but it's still a solid notch below PES. Between the two you'd have the absolute ultimate football game somewhere, just depends on your preference really.
-
I have never met anyone who thinks an iPhone is cheap? I think it will be £300 maybe rising to £350 for some kind of Zelda bundle.
-
Yeah the actual playing football bit of the game is excellent. The presentation/menus/graphics can't touch FIFA (and these are important to an extent) but it doesn't matter. I've switched over to PES this year and I'm really enjoying it. I'm playing on the PS4 mind you, heard the PC version wasn't worth getting with all of it's compromises. Apparently it resembles something of a mid point between the PS3/4 releases.
-
Played the demo, the Journey mode seems like it could actually be quite entertaining. Football improvement seems incremental as ever. Also played the pro evo demo and while i can kind of see why it does better with the critics, I just can't gel with it. Maybe I'll give it a few more plays before I write it off completely.

After a rocky start in the championship it's all going rather well right now. 6-0 away to QPR. Marvellous.
-
Pre season's been very promising for us so far. Seem to be making shrewd signings (chuffed about Ritchie) in needed positions while offloading deadwood, while having a great manager at the helm who seems to be controlling every aspect of the club well. Shame we're in the wrong division this year like but oh well.
-
I know what you mean. Much as I dislike him I remember thinking 'Oh come on!' at that sort of 'reporting'. I don't get the endgame for Momentum. Purge Labour of Blairite scabs and then what? Do they seriously believe Corbyn can win a GE?
