  1. Agreed on both. The 2013 team was absolutely incredible, they've never quite gotten back to that peak. Man I wish Juventus had made it further but Atletico are very good to watch in this competition. How they can stay organised and just defend for so long and then still look properly dangerous on the counter attack is quite something. How on earth did Felipe Luis not break into the Chelsea team? He's looked like the best full back in the world in these matches.
  2. 2017 now?! It had better be the best game ever at this rate.
  3. Hahaha get rekt @dazzybee Go on Leicester, one more win! Or 3 draws but that would be the most stressful way of doing this possible, please no.
  4. I think at this point Newcatle could win all 3 games left and it still might not be enough. Sunderland look like theyre going to do it again...(I mean for fucks sake Arsenal). Sunderland have Stoke, Watford, Chelsea and Everton left to play. Replace Chelsea with Swansea and you probably have the top 4 teams you might pick to play against right now. Sigh
  5. RIP Sweet Prince.
  6. @killthenet. That's a shame, I always wanted Moyes at Newcastle before Rafa. Ashley was unwilling to spend as well though. Think he would be a great fit for Villa. Much in the same way that I think he would have done well at Newcastle. I woudln't want Martinez anywhere near my club either.
  7. Eee gads I'm a bit scared of Liverpool. We really need to win as well, a draw probably won't even do (even though in isolation that would be a great result). If I'm being mega optimistic: Liverpool will rest players for Europe and do Rafa a favour, we'll win that game. If we perform like we have done recently we'll comfrotably beat Palace and make Pardew cry. Villa will be shite as they have been all season and we'll win. Come the last day Spurs will have nothing to play for and we'll complete the double over them. Mega pessimistic: Liverpool will fucking destroy us like they have done to everyone recently. The Pardew factor will curse us and we'll lose to Palace. Villa will channel Derby 08 and somehow beat us despite being goddawful. Spurs will earn a hard fought 2-0 win. @Fierce_LiNk Van Gaal to leave even if you finish 4th with an FA Cup? Who do you want instead?
  8. 1 point against City, I'll take that. Agueros goal was miles offside too! Getting hopeful here...sigh
  9. I'm not saying Leicester won't yet come 2nd to Spurs, but is that such a hard run in? Swansea: just lost to a Newcastle team who are likely getting relegated, got whacked 3-0. Safe, nothing to play for Man U: As Flink explained, a bit shit. Defensively solid, could be a draw but it's hardly a nailed on United win. Everton: Arguably one of the worst teams in the league on current form. Like Swansea, nothing to play for, Lukaku has went off the boil and they seem to be imploding. Plus they have the FA cup to focus on. Chelsea: Back to back losses, nothing to play for. They're not last seasons Chelsea. Hard to say how much Vardy's absence will affect them though. From that I can see 2 wins (Swans/Toffees) and 2 draws which would get them over the line. Plus of course Spurs play Newcastle on the last day and well fuckin rek u m8 1v1 u wot.
  10. Whey we won a match! We kept a clean sheet! The results today went exactly our way, even to the extent that it got rid of our goal difference problem against Norwich (for the time being). Mind we do play Man City on tuesday our bogie team in shit hot form firing on all cylinders. If we get anything from that I'll start believing again. Pellers could you please rest Aguero? Pretty please? Agueros also wrecking my fantasy team. I have him but didnt captain or triple captain him like EVERYONE ELSE.
  11. We're conpletely fucked. That's what having no defenders will do to you. Aston Villa could beat us at this rate, it's fucking atrocious. Seems the turnaround job was too much for Rafa. I almost hope Sunderland stay up just to avoid the derbys next season. Excited to play Burton Albion next season...We need a complete clear out of the deadwood. Couldnt watch the game as it was my son's first birthday party today...gonna tell him we're lifelong to Juventus fans eventually, the truth is too cruel.
  12. Completed this the other day, overall I enjoyed playing it, virtually no memories of it from 10 years ago so it was genuinely a bit like playing a new Zelda. It's better than I remembered but overall definitely the worst of the 3D Zeldas (never played SS so cant comment there). It just all feels a bit by the numbers, an Ocarina of Time rehash that indulges in fan service for better and worse. OoT, WW and MM are all much better. In particular it stood out a bit that the game really tries to be dark whilst being far far too easy, completely undermining the attempts at darkness. The collectathons feel more tacked on than they ever have. As for what I liked - the dungeons are consistently good. There's not a bad one which is impressive given their variety. The items have some originality although it's a shame their use remains confined to their respective dungeons. I actually don't think the overworld is too big and Wolf Link was actually reasonable to play with. I liked the side characters, particularly canon repair man, the younger Gorons. Midna's pretty great too, I like the ulterior motive she has behind her and she felt likeable yet distant and awkward at the same time. I'd give it probably 8/10. It's good, pretty consistent (dreadful introduction aside) and has flourishes of greatness ocasionally. Worth playing, not a patch on the 3D Zeldas that preceded it.
  13. IT'S COMING HOME LADS
  14. A few of my favourites, with pictures! There Will Be Blood Apocalypse Now American Beauty Network Die Hard The Shawshank Redemption Far from a comprehensive list but there's some of them. There Will Be Blood sits at number 1, take the others in any order you like.
  15. Ah those CL ties are shite. Clear favourites in all 4 of them, set up for the same trilogy of semi finalists + special guest appearance that we always have. Was fucking gutted when Juve when out the other night the way they did. Can't see City getting past PSG in their current form. I'm a bit sick of the Champions League at the moment. The English teams and everyone else are just so far from Barca/Bayern/Real it gets a bit tiring. There's this second tier featuring the likes of PSG/Juve/Atletico and the english teams even seem some way from that. Of course I'll enjoy it next year when Leicester smash Bayern 3-0 at the Allianz but in the meantime it's a bit dull no?
  16. Couldnt watch the game tonight but what I've read sounds encouraging. Us staying up was never going to be about tonight. Hope Leicester can go on and win it from here. 7 more wins! Massive game on sunday. I'm a bit nervous just thinking about it. Fucking hell we better win.
  17. As I've said in here before I would have been pleased with Moyes but Rafa?! Pleased as punch.
  18. That's a bit unfair, it's quieter these days but these forums are still alright.
  19. I really hope not. In a weird way you could view it as a win win for any potential candidates at this stage: Keep us up while beating the mackems? Instant hero. Take us down anyway? Doesnt matter, he had no time, mcclaren already put us there etc I JUST NEED A BIT OF HOPE. The only thing thats cheered me up is how rubbish pardews done since the turn of the year. Nothing against palace but dam if I didn't love that benteke penalty.
  20. Oh yeah, as I said the problems run much deeper. Players such as Sissoko and the like deserve just as much criticism and we'd still be a circus regardless of who was in charge. Graham Carr needs his head looking at for some of these players even being here - Thauvin?! But I feel Mcclaren has revealed himself to be particularly ill equipped to deal with this. His tactics are lacking, his substitutions and plan B during games non existant and his post match conferences are bordering on Pardew levels of garbage. I just want Moyes, have done for a while. Conviced he could lead us to top ten...either in the prem or the championship!
  21. FUCK OFF MACLAREN. GET OUT OF MY CLUB. 70 MILLION AND YOU LOSE 3-1 AT HOME TO BOURNEMOUTH?! The malaise runs deeper than him mind, but he's shite. In other news go leicester woooo!
  22. Fucks sake Newcastle. Last night was far from the worst performance of the season, but Maclaren needs to go even if we do stay up. More or less parking the bus away to Stoke. He plays every away game in the hopes of acheiving 0-0 and comes out with shite about how we were 'unlucky' or how we 'deserved' something when we inevitable lose. I look at the table and realise the mathematics aren't too bad for us yet, but with this clueless twat in charge it's hard to see how we do it. 70-80 MILLION SPENT AND RIVIERE GETS SUBBED ON FOR GOUFFRAN. Norwich and Sunderland are gonna have to be truly dreadful to finish below us.
  23. Oh come on Spurs have been well and truly noticed. Everyone is focused on Leicester and then Spurs. The discussion has been about a 4 way title race for weeks now. Would be glad enough to see them do it mind.
  24. All the results went our way this weekend, thank god. Arsenal are awful. How are they fucking this up? What's happened to Sanchez? Ramsey? Actually felt quite happy for Man Utd. They should just ignore the transfer windows and play youth every gane for ever from now on.
  25. Another FA cup weekend. Newcastle haven't progressed past the 4th round since 2006. Why are we so shit. :'(
