  1. Yeah I've calmed down now. To be honest I've been expecting this to happen ever since Sony announced that their PS3 boomerang controller wasn't the final design. I did notice that the controls were really shoddy (But what else do you expect from Sony!) and that it only detected tilt movement but I just couldn't help myself and went a bit loopy Actually thinking about it, it's a bit of a relief as Sony have failed to truly copy the Wiimote and have ended up with a half assed tilt sensor that wouldn't even worry Kirby's Tilt N' Tumble. As long as Nintendo still have some surprises up their sleeve and they get the Wii out before the PS3, they should be OK. Oh BTW have you heard, the $500 PS3 doesn't include HDMI, Wifi or the SD/CF/Memorystick slots, making the cheaper PS3 worthless! http://www.scei.co.jp/corporate/release/pdf/060509c.pdf Look at how HDMI, the WiFi and the CF/SD/Memorystick slots are crossed out on the $500 model. It's far worse that what MS did with the core pack, you can't even upgrade the pack to include the same functionality. Once you go core, there's no moving on from there. Doing a currency conversion $600 turns out to be roughly £324 and since Sony always charge more over here, expect at least £399.99 over here (And that's if were lucky!) They think that a poor Wiimote clone will cover up a piss poor E3 showing (No new games at all, no good revelations aside from greatest hits for PSP, crappy Wiimote clone and a price so high that only Bill Gates can afford to buy one!) LMAO!
  2. It's unlikely that this will be the focus of Sony's marketing though (It'll have to choose to promote traditional gaming or tilt gaming and it can't promote both) Wii however will be marketing the hell out of the motion sensetivity and more people will pick up on that. The PS3 controller looks complicated and uninviting to non gamers (And the crappy half assed tilt detection won't do anything to help that) whereas the Wii looks like a simple TV remote, easy and simple to use. Once people get to try out the Wii controller (And believe me that will be the Wii's main form of marketing, word of mouth from a friend who's tried it out) they'll see ther PS3 for what it is, a poor imitation of the Wii controller at a much more expensive price (This will be greatly enforced by getting the Wii out before the PS3) Nintendo absolutly must get the Wii out before the PS3. If they don't, then the Wii will be seen to be the one who's ripping off the PS3 controller.
  3. http://uk.revolution.ign.com/articles/705/705870p1.html Very very good article please read this, it'll show you how Sony have not quite fully succeeded in suppressing a Revolution... yet. In essence it is like comparing Kirby's Tilt N' Tumble to the Wiimote!
  4. I can't believe it, they've gotta be breaking some sort of anti competitive laws here! There's absolutely no way on God's earth they can possibly get away with this, please tell me this can't happen! This isn't possible, this can't be happening!!! I'm seriously considering going down to Sony's European HQ and protesting outside. I'll wait till Ninty's conference and then I'll save up my money. If anyone wants to come along, by all means join me! The more people we have, the more likely we'll get televised.
  5. I feel physically sick!, I can't believe they actually did it. I had a feeling that they would... but to see it actually happen I can't believe it. Nintendo have to fight back in a law suit, they have no choice now. If it's any consolation Warhark seemed to handle terribly and it doesn't mention any sort of 3D motion detection for the controller, it only mentions tilting and pulling the controller up and down. I'm sure that Nintendo knew Sony were going to do this. They've probably got something up their sleeves... I hope
  6. Until then look forward to the Sony press conference. That's coming up much sooner (00:00 AM Tuesday GMT) and it'll keep you entertained until the M3GAT0N!
  7. You know with these Time magazine leaks and the GAF leaks (Mario VS DK2, Chibi Robo DS and Ouendan US) I'm scared that everything will have already been leaked by the time the press conference comes around. Maybe I should just stop using the internet until Ninty's conference tommorow
  8. Damn, oh well. Sony's press conference will keep me entertained until Nintendo drop the bobomb. Then we can laugh at the Microsoft conference "Oh we have a target render video for Halo 3 and... that's about it!" Just Joking, they'll probably be some surpises there and don't count out the rumoured handheld Xbox (Oxymoron of the year:laughing:) it could very well happen yet!
  9. Well, if it isn't there don't bother. but if it is... GO GO GO!!! Can't wait any longer... :bouncy: :bouncy: :bouncy: ARGGHHHH THE WAIT IS KILLING ME!!!
  10. I wonder what would happen if Link ate a Mushroom while touching Fuzzy? Great job Sprout, hopefully TSR will be back up soon. Until then, keep these fantastic Filler episodes coming (Cause I'll go mad waiting for the next Nintendoom installement if you don't!) And you don't want the Kratos Plushie to get angry now do you...
  11. Fantastic news, but to be honest, who didn't see Wario Ware Wii coming a mile off Great to see the Wii getting such good press from a non gaming magazine I don't suppose some kind soul could post some scans of the game pictures for us!
  12. Personally, I really like the name (Which is what I voted for) At the start, Nintendo will have some problems convincing people about the name but to be honest, I reckon that the public will eventually accept it and take the name as tongue in cheek (Which Nintendo will probably exploit in their adverts) For Nintendo to succeed with this name, they need to do some self mockery. I think the best thing for them to do is laugh at the name alongside the public and accept the insults in good fun. As long as Nintendo take the piss out of themselves (along with the public) the phrase "I'm just going to play with my Wii" will become a household catchphrase!
  13. Best comic ever! I absolutly hate Royal Mail/ParcelForce, I've had nothing but trouble with them. I ordered a Freeloader, Skies of Arcadia (US ver) and Nintendo Puzzle Collection from Play-asia for $73 and I got hit by a £30 import tax!!! (WTF! ) They take ages with all my deliveries (sometimes 2 or 3 days after it arrives in UK) and always deliver it in the afternoon when I'm out. They are the reason why I try to avoid buying (UK) games online as I just cannot stand the wait.
  14. I expect nothing. The whole "NDAs expire on April 20th" thing is bogus. Next week however = Famitsu Revo news!
  15. Wow, the Revmote is much smaller then I thought!
  16. Luigi's Mansion 2 is actually pretty likely IMO (The Revo trailer had two people looking around in the dark in a very Luigi's Mansion style) My Wishlist 1, A new Waverace developed by EAD (Please Nintendo don't let those hacks at NST get their hands on the Waverace licence again!) 2, A new Starfox game made by EAD (After the last two abysmal games, I can safely say that EAD are the only ones who can do it!) 3, Wario Ware Revolution (Come on you know it's gonna happen!) 4, Pilotwings Revolution (It's been rumoured for ages now) 5, A 2D Advance Wars game (With online gameplay!) 6, Fire Emblem revolution (Probably best in 3D) 7, Panel De Pon revolution (with online gameplay and the original fairy characters!) 8, A sequel to Kirby's Dream Course 9, A new 2D sidescrolling Metroid! 10, NiGHTS revolution (I know it'll never happen but you've gotta dream!) That's all I can think of at the mo...
  17. Ahhh I just woke up, did I miss anything What a lovely morning! Certainly gives the Revo doubters a good power shot to the head!!! BTW forgot to add, I'm loving the gameplay details (Being able to twist the gun and lob grenades sounds Fucking Sweet!!!) sniff... I think I need a hug...
  18. ROFL! fantastic stuff, keep it up Sprout. The fate of the forest, nay the world depend upon thee!
  19. That survey is totally fudged up. Sony should be at the very bottom, especially after all the Rootkit controversy. Nintendo however have nary a blemish on their company record, the only real thing being their censorship policies (Which were needed as there was no software regulation board) and their price fixing (Ok this one is true)
  20. Actually they did, it's called Hotel Mario and it's just as bad as the Zelda CDI games!
  21. Humm... quite retro in its look. I like it! It's a breath of fresh air from all the other magazines trying to look futuristic and ultra modern. Is the mag out yet?
  22. Please HELP, CT has just arrived and I can't play it!!!
  23. Hi, does anyone know where I can find a universal AC/DC plug that works with the US SNES (mine is a mini version), any help would be appreciated. Thanks! BTW I just got Chrono Trigger for £20 on ebay and it's on its way so I'd like to get a plug before it arrives
  24. To be honest their reviews have been quite honest (joke intended) They're much better with reviews now than in the past and are no longer afraid to slag off a first party game in favour of a third party one. Though I definatly disagree with their Mario Power Tennis review (79% I think), most of their reviews are fairly accurate.
