Not to mention that these decisions would've been made long before the Wii U was released, so it isn't a reaction to poor sales. We knew for a long while that the Wii U wasn't getting Tiger Woods 14 for instance. And they went out of their way to sabotage each and every single one of the games they actually released... (Not to mention that these actions have a historical precedent in the form of what they did to SEGA and the Dreamcast...)

Course they will. No reason why they wouldn't.

Yep, this is true... until you get to the boss rush mode in each game, where is suddenly becomes bollock hard You can make it quite challenging though if you choose to play it in certain ways, with user imposed restrictions like only using certain copy powers and such. That's the great thing about the Kirby games, you can play them however you want - they're very freeform in terms of design
-
You've never played it before!? Oh man, you're in for a treat! It's one of my favourite games ever! And is also the basis for the Smash Bros series - you'll be shocked at how much SSB64 took from this game in its design stage... The music alone is just legendary!
-
Both games are must haves if you've never played them before (or only own PAL 50hz versions of them). Stone cold classics! The discount is nice too. Nice to see that NOE are following in the Japanese eShop's footsteps
-
This week's lot... The Project X Zone demo is a nice surprise. Wasn't expecting that one! Overall a good week, despite the lack of VC releases.
-
This week's haul... Nice to see that they're mostly keeping up with the Japanese releases. The discount is nice too and 60hz means that I'm officially interested

New 3DS Deal - Register 3 games, get one new game!
Dcubed replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Oh I see. It appeared in less than a few hours. -
Kirby Returns to Dreamland actually does sort of already fit into that naming scheme Too bad that NOE bollocked it up by calling it Kirby's Adventure Wii

Nintendo stuff never leaks (barring that one exception with DKCR being leaked a day before its E3 announcment and the Nikkei report on the 3DS, which had a bunch of fake info mixed in with the real) so this is all obviously fake. If this was Microsoft or Sony however, then I'd probably say it's likely to be real. Microsoft in particular are leaker than a broken sieve Oh and I hope that ALTTP 2 ends up getting called A Link to The Future. That would be a much better name than Return to The Past.

New 3DS Deal - Register 3 games, get one new game!

My sister chose it and has already recieved her code. You should actually see it on the site itself. Go log in and check the site where the promotional banner was. It should list the download code on the banner itself (it appears much more quickly than that email!) The game is brilliant BTW! It shakes up the series gameplay quite a bit in some surprising ways, but all the charm of the previous PKMD is still there, even if it is easy going at the start so far -
I know and I told you that Iwata did say that new content was coming. Nobody knows what it is yet though...
-
He did. Dunno anything about what's upcoming though. Animal Crossing NL has some pretty awesome use of Streetpass (trading houses, clothes designs, music, you name it!) though. Looking forward to that one!

That's it. Pack it up folks, aint nothing topping that Romanian masterpiece

The best part of Eurovision is always the commentary

THIS! Why on earth SEGA insist on having their characters use normal vehicles instead of Flintstones style "cars" I have no idea It's the perfect solution and would look funny as hell

Well said. EA is the industry's greatest foe, it's disgraceful to see such support for them from just about everyone in the industry; from the media to the forum dwellers themselves... This action does no good to the industry at large. The stronger EA gets, the weaker the rest of the industry becomes.

There aren't many internal or 2nd party developers left that are unaccounted for currently... (see our ongoing list http://www.n-europe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35099&page=3 ) Right now, the only ones who potentially have games left to announce are Retro Studios, HAL (though I reckon they're working on Yoshi's Island 3DS - so that probably counts out a Wii U game for the time being, but I think that another concurrent 3DS game is possible), possibly Intelligent Systems (though with them currently collaborating on FE X SMT, I would think that they'd only have enough staff for a 3DS game right now) and possibly NST (I really doubt that Mario & DK MOTM took up that many resources, they're a pretty big studio so a bigger Wii U title is possible) There's also Nintendo SPD 4 & 5 (who probably worked on New Super Luigi U), as well as Skip, Asobism and Syn Sophia but they're all far too small to be working on any Wii U retail titles... Also Greezo is almost certainly working on Wind Waker HD (they have been groomed as the "Zelda Remake Team" so it only makes sense to assume that this is their handiwork) So I have reason to be doubtful here... Edit: Mind you though, there were those hints of Sumo Digital working on a Mario Kart/Sonic crossover... https://twitter.com/S0LSUM0/status/327921575968010240 If that were to be the unannounced "Mario Kart" title for Wii U, that would go a long way towards freeing up EAD staff members to work on something new and unexpected...
-
I just hope that isn't all they've got to show. Just having the new 3D Mario, Mario Kart U and Smash Bros 4 and a recap of the other games we know like X and Yarn Yoshi isn't enough for me. I need some out-of-nowhere surprises that blow me away! At the very least, I just hope that Retro isn't working on Mario Kart. Not that they didn't do a great job on MK7, but I want to see something new and unexpected from them.

Mario & Sonic at the Sochi Winter Olympics
Dcubed replied to Lens of Truth's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yup, same here. Looks like a HD port of one of the Wii games. That being said, that's not a bad thing, they always looked pretty damn good actually! Anyway, the first game was pretty good, the 2nd one was crap and the 3rd one was OK. This one seems to be shaking things up a bit by requiring the Gamepad and the Wii Remote Plus, so let's see how this one turns out... -
THIS! It's gonna be the next Metroid Prime Trilogy/US Xenoblade/US Super Mario All Stars for sure! It'll be worth something in the future...
-
Ladies and gentlemen, EA in an image (probably also accurately depicts most people at Take Two, certainly Rockstar and Epic Games). Complete pricks, the lot of them (god bless Criterion though. Such a damn shame that they're trapped underneath the rotten wings of EA ) A late version that was basically FIFA 12 PS360 with a roster update, lacking all of the new features of the other console versions... True, but those were different times and different circumstances. PES is on the ropes right now and I think that it's quite possible for Nintendo to "revive" the series by aligning themselves with it. Giving them the kind of marketing and licensing budget that Konami can't afford, along with the unique functions of the Wii U, could do wonders for the series' fortunes...
-
Guys... What if Sonic Lost World is coming from Retro Studios or NST... Naoto Ōshima (Sonic's original character designer/creator) does work for NST now... Also there are some rumblings coming from Sumo that might be hinting at a Mario/Sonic Kart crossover... https://twitter.com/S0LSUM0/status/327921575968010240 Mario & Sonic Kart as the upcoming "Mario Kart" title!? I'd be down for it. Sonic Racing Transformed was awesome - given a bit of Nintendo guidance, I reckon that Sumo could do great things with a Wii U exclusive Mario/Sonic Kart... So long as we also get those demos on the eShop, I'm cool with this
-
Same as in Japan. We'll probably get a similar discount on both games as well (wouldn't be surprised if they copied Japan's promotion, where you get a discount when you buy both games)
-
If Nintendo is actually co-developing the game then I'd be excited. Otherwise...
