Try a different mains socket to charge it. If that fails try to charge it through the USB cable that you'd find with a Wii U Pro Controller. Maybe the Gamepad is faulty, maybe it's the power brick.

I know my kid would prefer the top row because of the variety it offers, Petey Piranha for f's sake. Personally I love the Mii's, too.

Do Nintendo still have what it takes to produce hardware?
Londragon replied to Fierce_LiNk's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Thanks, I love the Gamepad and am sold on it, just hope I see more of its potential at E3. If you're not feeling it I hope Nintendo show something at E3 to pique your interest and justify it to you. To be totally honest I was thinking back on all the consoles I've ever owned, mostly Nintendo, and apart from the N64, the Wii U is my favourite. It's giving me everything I need at the moment. Each to his/her own. -
Do Nintendo still have what it takes to produce hardware?

Yes, it could be done online, but I get endless satisfaction from playing NintendoLand, and especially the games Metroid Blast, Mario Chase, Zelda, etc., with my son and his cousins, local multiplayer, with the Gamepad utilising asynchronous multiplayer, with zero lag. The look of happiness, enjoyment and general pleasure on all our faces is priceless, and that feeling of asynchronous local multiplayer, not knowing what your local competitor is doing, cannot be replicated with such ease of application, zero lag, etc., on any other existing console If you don't have enough friends over, or a family to enjoy this I can understand your requirement for online, but for me the Gamepad totally revolutionised local multiplayer and continues to do so. The Gamepad adds everything to a local social situation. I just wish Nintendo did this more frequently, and added online as well. -
Definitely for me, day 1. Been waiting for a nice shooter to come along, after Nano Assault Neo. It's been a long wait.

Futen Nintendo (aka Nintendo of Taiwan) has just folded, and the Hong Kong branch has taken over it's duties. The problem Nintendo has with Taiwan is cultural and social. The way the Taiwanese bring their children up is school intensive. The vast majority of children start school at 7:30am, after school are shipped to Cram schools, until 9:00pm. Most children don't play CG's due to a lack of time. The school I teach at has over 500 students, and only 1 boy has a 3DS, and another a Vita (2 out of 540). The Wii was popular with families, but when bought at a Games Store, that store then offers to chip it for extra and will supply the copied games to you. I just couldn't see how Nintendo was making money on games here. BTW the Wii U does not exist in Taiwan, unless you import from Japan. Gaming is such a small market here, except Cellphone games. In addition, the region locking of HK/Taiwan is weird, in that a Japanese Wii will play Taiwanese games, and vice versa. The operating system is localised, but the games are interchangeable throughout those 2 regions. I had a Japanese Wii, whilst my family here had a Taiwanese one, we used to swap games regularly between regions.

It's got to be a repackaged Wii, Nintendo'd have nothing to do except release old games and reap the profits. Don't charge too much though because piracy is so rife in China. I just have a hard time imagining who would buy games over here, when everybody copies openly. You can buy copied games at Game Stores for heck's sake.

The vast majority of this game was much easier than I remember, and I blasted through it no problem. The last 2 bosses, the Grim Reaper and Drac himself were a massive hike in difficulty and took me by surprise. I thought I completed this game back in the day, but just couldn't remember the last encounter going down like that. Cool memories of playing this with my 2 brothers ensued.

Trying out your tournament in just a minute. Loving this so far, there's so much do, I get lost just in the Castle.

Upon using the download code, I saw a page which looked as if I was going to get the free game. Looking at my receipt though, there is no free code to be seen. Anybody else? Liking the game so far.

They have it listed as a 29.99 retail purchase. The digital download code price will go up tomorrow, and is always the same price as the original retail price (to date they haven't charged more for DDs on Day 1).

Play Nintendo - Announcing Nintendo @ E3 2014

Is that what happened to Cammie Dunaway? -
Still slowly plugging away at finishing every level with every character, mostly when a group comes over, otherwise I play MH3U or NES and SNES games now. ATM we have completed up to World 6 100%, and a few on World Bowser 100%'d, too. Mostly enjoy playing this multiplayer.

Wii U Music, with NFC collectable instruments, sold in blind packs. *Tells myself; Don't get hyped again, don't get hyped again!

Have been slowly working through this game over the last 4 months, 2 players with my son. I found some sections of puzzling a little too tricky for one player, and the 2nd player made all the difference. The 2nd player also made the whole game very much more enjoyable. Even when shouting at each others incompetencies, the game has a one more try, hard to put down feel. Anyway it's over, and as I got it when it was on sale this was well worth it's asking price. Is there anything else that can be said about this sublime game??? Overall though, and after playing A Link Between Worlds, this didn't feel as awe inspiring as I remember it. Don't get wrong it's brilliant, it's just the sequel takes everything that made the original brilliant and polishes it to near perfection. I played this, again, straight after the sequel and the controls of ALBW are perfect, this then took a little time to get used to as the controls are a little clunky in comparison.

Only played 30 minutes of this last night, named the team, changed the kit etc. Lack of imagination alert, Londragons, playing in a red home strip and yellow away (fire of the dragon, see). First friendly, I was warned they were a much stronger team than mine, and managed to come away with a draw. Can't wait to delve further into this. Didn't know there was a team ID number, will look for it later today. Does this ID number allow you to play with others online, like a friend code?

#12 - N-Europe: Let's Talk Games (Rhythm Paradise DS)

All I have to say about this amazing game is; Ahhhh, ahhhh, ah, together now, ahh!! Brilliant!!! -
It very heavily uses zombie motifs in its story telling, George A. Romero style zombies, and all the clichés that entails. Personally, the thing I love about good zombie movies is the isolation and claustrophobia of the human characters. A good movie should care all about the interactions of its survivors and their never ending hopelessness and struggle. When it's at its best The Walking Dead does this with aplomb. It builds characters that you care about and them takes them away. At other times it seems plodding, with some irrational characters (especially Rick's wife, but she is like that in the comic too). This TV show is a hard sale to some one who doesn't like Zombie Apocalypse stories, but if you like a bit of gore, tense set-pieces, and are willing to invest some time getting to know Rick, there is a little more than just the zombies, but not much more. If you ever liked The Night of the Living Dead (original) or Dawn of the Dead (original), then this TV show is a no-brainer. Get it in!

How many hours a day do you have for playing games?
Londragon replied to Falcon_BlizZACK's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I work in the evenings, normally from 3pm to 9pm, but varies by day. That leaves my mornings free, and apart from food shopping, watching TV, movies, and swimming, I play VG's (WiiU and 3DS). So, I spend between 1-4 hours a day (on average I'd say 2 hours a day). Due to having a child, I don't play over the weekend, as I'd prefer him to be doing things of a more athletic nature, but we sometimes sit down to a session of Mario 3D World. No more than 1 1/2 hours over the weekend. In total about 12 hours a week. It takes me an age to finish any game, but that just means I appreciate them for longer. -

I'm sure most eShop games start off at RRP. The RRP for Mario Kart 8 is 49.99 UK pounds. I wouldn't expect anything less.
