  1. I think people are being a bit harsh on @Mr\-Paul quite rightly points out, plans change and it could be that they have simply changed direction whilst maintaining the idea of playing a game on the go and on TV. I'm not against this idea but my concern is that a game being played on the TV in a home environment is going to be limited by the output of a handheld device, which in itself must be limited for other reasons, namely battery life. Either way, let's see what happens. A reveal by the end of September is virtually guaranteed at this point.
  2. Indeed. 'Brothers in the same ecosystem' and 'You could see more form factors' suggests they've had a slight change of heart over the last 18 months, hence this move.
  3. What do you mean by 'hybrid', because what some people think the NX is (based off what Iwata said a few years back) is different to what others are saying.
  4. This app is so damn good. My girlfriend, who has NO interest in Pokemon, has become obsessed and we've found ourselves going for long walks to find rare Pokemon. She just messaged me to say that she got a Pinsir on the way to work
  5. I have dreamed of them doing this for years. Hopefully they'll do it for the SNES one day.
  6. My cousin gave me a call this morning telling me that her kids are obsessed with this game and now want a 3DS to play the proper games. Very cool as they weren't into Pokemon at all last time I checked!

  8. I'm gutted. The Newcastle result last night was a warning sign, but I'm still surprised that it actually happened. What this shows is just how disillusioned people are with the politics in this country and how the Tory government has failed to support the working class, whilst many do not identify with the current Labour regime. I really hope this doesn't have a negative effect on the working class in this country but I'm not hopeful
  9. Just to clarify I was obviously referring to the comments in this thread, including a post from @Animal, that stated that we are screwed regardless. I thought it was pretty obvious, but hey ho.
  10. This has nothing to do with the EU. I agree with what you're saying, but that is an issue with the government. Voting 'Leave' will only increase the chance of a more permanent Tory government, which is the opposite of what I want (although this a very small part of the reason why I voted 'Remain'). Your initial point was that 'I'm not poor' and that it therefore blinds me to the issues going on in this country. I grew up in a council house and my mum works on minimum wage at BHS, which has gone into administration because the previous owner was an absolute moron. I'm the last person who would ignore the issues. Our country isn't in great shape but we are in a very good position compared to many other countries around the world. Let's fix the issues instead of side stepping them.
  11. Someone said the same to me the other week and I was so flattered. Always good to know when others see the progress.
  12. If you knew my background you wouldn't be saying that bruh. #LabourVoter
  13. I find the notion of 'our country is fucked either way' really difficult to understand. I haven't even done much travelling but I can tell you that things are bloody good here compared to the majority of places. Our food is pretty cheap because we pay little import tax (or none), we can travel throughout Europe on the cheap without having to get a Visa and the EU gives us a strong economy and environment to trade in. As a science graduate I can also tell you that the reason why we are so strong in terms of research is because of the EU and the funding we receive. Just yesterday over 100 Vice-chancellor's across the country urged the public to vote Remain because if we Left the EU it would leave a very serious funding gap for high end research. I don't get what's so bad about our country?
  14. Voted. Lots of nervous faces in the office yesterday. It's very likely we will all lose our jobs if Brexit does happen, or at least be forced to resign as the company will move to Europe). Fingers crossed.
  15. Yeah, this thread is definitely inspired by one of our Euston Tap conversations! I normally always go for handshakes with both men and women but it was quite strange moving to an organisation where I had to great everyone with the double kiss. Dem Europeans!
  16. This game is basically the complete opposite of Skyward Sword in its design. Naturally this makes it awesome.
  17. I doubt we will be getting optional motion controls (at least 1-to-1), because they'd have to design the entire game around it. Enemies, puzzles etc.
  18. I really excited for today. Proper pumped. I feel as though this is going to be Nintendo making a statement with their software, in the same way they did with say SM64 or Ocarina of Time. Limited hardware has hurt them massively over the last decade and they've fallen behind western developers but they've always been a super creative bunch and now they've got hardware that matches up to their ambitions. This won't be a HD sequel like their other titles in the last 3-4 years; it's going to be a complete re-imagining of their beloved franchise. One thing that no one is talking about is the controls. I'm excited to see what route they take. If anything we should get an indication of the NX's control scheme.
  19. Yes because the in the past, the older console wouldn't become forward compatible. We are seeing the end of machines becoming obsolete.
  20. Just finished Her Story. Brilliant game!
  21. Hmm...may have to conveniently cancel my afternoon meetings...
  22. Interesting to hear your thoughts on Gone Home. Out of interest, have you played Firewatch?
