Thanks for reminding me. The 3DS had perhaps the worst D-Pad I've ever used. Not only was it inaccurate at times but it was squeaky. Almost every movement had this uncomfortable squeaky noise coming from it. The shoulder buttons were fine on my 3DS but it fell down once and the L button lost most of it's click, turned spongy and started squeaking too. I find the D-Pad on the XL to be better than the original 3DS D-Pad some people may say that it's still not the best but at least they've improved it. Physically though I think it's still the same size as the 3DS's D-Pad and it no longer has that smooth/painted/plastic feel to it either. The Shoulder buttons were a huge improvement in my opinion. The buttons are now shorter but wider than its predecessor, they also cover a larger area and bend with the curve of the console. It's very responsive whether you press it from the edge or the centre of the button. This time around they're also less clicky.

I thought it was Punch Out U for a moment there, but then I saw the 300+ comments and thought...Someone clearing their backlog maybe? It must be Fused... Lo and behold: Excellent game though.

The screens on the original 3DS are more crisp but that's probably all it has over the XL. I prefer the XL because: The matte finish prevents finger prints and smudging effects. The hinge is a LOT stronger and sturdier than the original. You'll also find that the screen will hardly ever wobble (button mashing, motion controls etc.) The screens are larger and even though some games can look a bit more 'rough' I found that it really helped the 3D effect in games like 3D Land, Kid Icarus & Luigi's Mansion. The 3D Slider is better as it can be switched off completely as opposed to the original 3DS. A lot of people complained about the positioning of the stylus on the original model but that has been shifted back to the right side of the console. The battery life is also better. 3-5 hrs for the 3DS vs 3.5-6.5 hrs on the XL. Not much of a difference, but it's certainly an improvement.

Indeed. It's not that they're getting worse, but the fact that they're not improving at the rate they once were. We're talking about club football at its peak this time 2 years ago. Barca were by far and away 'The Team' to beat and now more opponents are finally coming around to their play style and producing good results. Also I've noticed that their overall play has slowed down, before they would put the opposition team under constant pressure creating chance after chance while pinging the ball around very quickly. I've noticed that their game has also slowed down, now they pass the ball around in the opponents half but a lot slower and more predictable, they may have more possession but they're not creating as many clear cut chances as they use to. The only attacking football team that I've seen pass the ball around quickly nowadays is Dortmund. Bayern put 7 past Barca home & away. That says it all.

Sounds good. I've been interested in a Vita for some time, just looking around for great deals on memory cards first.

Welcome to the forums! Having read plenty of reviews and features it favours well. Some even saying that it's one of the best, if not the best in the series. I'm not best to answer that question simply because I've only played 5 games properly (inc. Awakening) in the entire series, so some of the other FE vets will be better placed. Having said that, this is my favourite one for sure. After playing this game I suggest going to the GBA Fire Emblems, since those are handheld based and should feel a bit more accessible if that makes sense. Start with Fire Emblem for the GBA (Also known as Blazing Sword/Rekka no ken) before tackling FE: Awakening this was my favourite.

Interesting article. They're showing the increase in 'violent' video games and trying to find a connection between that and violence in real life. I just find it a bit silly to include non violent games such as Animal Crossing solely on the grounds of 'Comic Mischief'. Yup, so far these are all the DLC Quests that North America has (): http://fireemblem.nintendo.com/connect/#/com4/ NA got Fire Emblem in February as well so there has been a good number of DLC quests available from launch up until now. I think Japan is on it's 2nd series of DLC (has it finished yet?) so there should definitely be more to come in the future.

I've managed to pick up plenty of other rare items/weapons along the way so I don't really mind. Anyway, I finished Chapter 13 recently and I thought that cut-scene was great. Also upon completion it opened up another 5 or 6 Side-stories. I started one and found it to be centered around this character.

Hmmm, well I don't have it. It's ok though, I'm not short on dough at the moment. Besides, there's always that DLC I could do but I'm going to buy more of those map packs when I finish the game.
