Nintendo Directs have been amazing! so if we're getting a few smaller Direct-esque events then that will be fantastic! It should also be able to bring in some new Nintendo Direct viewers too!

I've been thinking this over since I heard the news and honestly though it is a bit of a bummer coming from a Nintendo fan, but this does sound like the best route to take. Perhaps at this moment in time anyway. Maybe we can see information more tailored to those who are watching online across the world and not attending the event as apposed to previous conferences where it wasn't anything particularly important that was appended at the end. If anything I think this shows how serious Nintendo are about turning this situation around for the Wii U, they're going to focus on the software which has been the main problem for the Wii U. However, this decision may affect the way that general consumers look at the Wii U and Nintendo as a whole and after all the 'artificial' hype coming into E3 this may backfire.

I hear ya, I remember one of the earlier chapters I had Chrom lead the front and it got to a point where some characters had to pull back and replenish their HP that it left Chrom all on his lonesome. Didn't bother him though, he just did an Ephraim and ripped all the remaining enemy units apart without moving from the spot. That's when the gulf began. Unfortunately for me, I never had that with Stahl, I almost had to baby him like Donnel (up until level 14-15), but now he's a very dependable unit.

After Chapter 8 Chrom was level 20 so I promoted him before I started Chapter 9. Your characters were more balanced than mine. I just finished Chapter 9 recently and by that time Chrom, Avatar, Lon'qu, Stahl & Lissa were all level 18 or above whereas the others were around 10. I just finished doing some grinding with risen enemies on the world map and I'm slowly but surely bringing everyone up.

You only have to buy 2 more then. Perhaps you'll get lucky and come across a sale for a game that interests you out of that list.

I say go for it then. This game pretty much has it all and accessibility-wise there are more options so that newcomers or those who haven't played strategy games or are finding the difficulty to hard can fit in.

Yup, like Tales said, they're back to level 1. Although your stats can actually decrease (most of mine did) but I think that's due to going from a magic-based class to a more physical class, therefore stuff like magic and resistance decrease whereas strength and defence increase. Update on my relationships; Gaius & Cordelia are married. Damn, they are quite the team!

Well they're both turn-based strategy games and they're both developed by Intelligent systems... apart from that I say they're quite different. Fire Emblem is more story and character based as it's an RPG as well. I'm probably not best to answer as I've only played Advance Wars on the GBA. I enjoyed it but that was a long time ago and I haven't played the other games in the series yet. Have you tried the FE demo?

I re-classed him at level 10 as I didn't want the underdog skill and his growth rate would be better as a mercenary/fighter as opposed to a villager. I also re-classed my avatar into a mage so that I can promote him into a Dark Knight and get the Lifetaker skill.

Barca had their usual possession but they were completely outclassed. Even though a German final will be nice I doubt it will happen. Looking forward to the game though!

I meant my avatar (should be more specific next time) I had already planned to re-class donnel but I'm a bit unsure about my avatar. I've been looking around and most people point towards reclassing at lower levels so that you can gain all the skills you want.

Haven't tried yet, but yes it is active. You can claim your download codes for any of the 8 games that have been released so far.

Oh.... hmm, didn't even consider auto-promoting. I remember reading somewhere a few months ago that characters didn't get automatically promoted in this game. I kinda had no choice though, he was level 20 and I didn't want him to steal exp from other units. My avatar has also just hit level 20...and I don't have a master seal. Do you recommend re-classing, captain?
