It's funny- southpark used to be fairly shit and the only draw of it was this whole new concept of swearing + cartoons = win. funny for a while but not exactly gold then they added politics result? best political satire on tv and one of the funniest things ever.

interesting point you make there. The character isnt a bad one though- I do know the one you mean- he simply believes it to be an extortion hijack rather than the (unheard of) suicide strike it really was. which is interesting.

I noticed that. what i would have liked to see though is in the ultimate spiderman books rather than mimic spideys webs, the venom suit uses itself instead, morphing out of his fingers when he wants it to. would have been cool but it only really makes sense if we're talking about spiderman using web cartridges rather than the movie version where he fires it out of his wrists proper.

also: you take a series of independently marked modules each year at uni. once you finish the year the marks from those are averaged and that's how you work out the final mark. 50's = 2:2 60's = 2:1 70+ = 1st and so on

I confess I was expecting a 'textured' version of the black costume in the comics. maybe something that looked like rubber still, for whatever reason they did it this way, the effect is clearly there: spiderman deffinatly looks pretty sinister in black- that opening to the trailer with him in the rain looks utterly wicked.

He gets shot to shit by a turret mounted machine gun, then gets crushed by his jeep. Usual result: Extreme death. Then he dies of foxdie: everyone else exposed dies very much. awesome. but no! in the single least plausable return to life in videogame history he actually comes back as a mind controling arm transplant. that, my friends, is hardcore. you can keep your silly ladyboy sephiroth (oh, and bigup to Ridley. not sure about anyone else but i got my uni grades back for my first year today. got a 2:2! I just missed a 2:1 though which is an arse- even though it's my own fault for dossing around in my shitty medieval module in september! so how are you guys doing so far? has anyone even got their marks?

I assume it's the way it is because rami's costumes have always had a texture lacking in the comics. it makes sense to keep a coherent visual style going. it's also possible that a smooth costume just looked shit in cgi

oh come on! what do you take me for? course I know the venom story (all 3 versions!). I'm just saying it seems like a plausable way to create the venom character (the bit based on spiderman himself) without resorting to sci fi shit that rami is clearly going to try and distance himself from because it's just rubbish for his movies. so there.
