you guys are all being a bit daft. if you pin your hopes for quality american cinema on summer cash wagons, of course you're going to end up dissapointed. go and see something without explosions and you might find yourself feeling less downbeat.

VG cats tops my funny list. I think it's genius. CAD.....I duno. I kinda read it out of habit but it's really not that funny anymore. it's become obsessed with story arcs that...well they're pretty shit to be frank. Penny Arcade is awesome. I really like the humour, love the art. Ugly writers though! Better days is the shit. not as many jokes as such but it's a good character comic. good dialogue, good art...although tyhe artist clearly has too much fun making cats look sexy. oh well! oh, and woosel is for noobs.

I was also discussing this with a mate on msn. rallying against the mortifying cliché that is japanese or elvish script tats. we decided that if we opened up a studio, nobody asking for these would be safe. A blanket policy of writing abusive phrases in said languages would be in effect. some of our ideas were the likes of ' I can't read Japanese' and 'How on Middle Earth am I going to get laid now?' =)

Have to say I disagree with you there Ash. A good director makes the style of the film his own. but on the subject of BR2: I fucking hate that movie. not just because it's poor, which it is, but because the first is an emotionally charged, haunting movie that just so happens to be incredibly violent. the seccond is just incredibly violent popcorn crap. hey, maybe they should just remake that one for the states..

I have a feeling I should have watched one hour photo instead of: Daredevil. I'm really unsure what they were trying to do here. it's like they thought 'lets make it dark like batman, only really comicy like spiderman' and unfortunate mix it turns out, although the way they did daredevils powers was extremely cool, and it's at least given me thoughts about looking into some Daredevil books... 6/10

with some games that means nothing though. I can see the credits for DOA in about five mins if i really want to. course, it can mean you really have finished the game. Prince of Persia or Max Payne being good examples from my collection.
