If you're interested, the first storyline he worked on is called 'Gifted', which is just about to conclude in Essential X-Men (UK reprint mag) and it really is rather special. The plot is that after Magneto attacks and occupies Manhattan Island, he destroys the X-Mansion and kills Jean Grey. For this, Wolverine decapitates him. After this, Cyclops and Emma Frost decide to rebuild the school and relaunch the X-Men- abandoning their military style uniforms they had adopted and instead act as super heroes again so that people will see them in the same light as The Avengers and The Fantastic Four. However, as they do this, a genetics laboratory announces to the world that they have successfully engineered a Mutant Cure, throwing the team and their entire world into disarray just as they have begun to rebuild. It really is a great read. Whedon's grasp for sharp, witty dialog has found a perfect home in the clipped frame of a comic speech bubble, and he really has a keen understanding of the way the team operates and interacts. Each read has had me recalling the snappy family dynamic of Firefly while also maintaining the essence of what makes X-Men great material. It's brilliant.

The way I see it is that so long as you're genuinely happy, there's no drastic need for change. However Solitude is not, by and large, an ideal pastime. Before you know it all you'll have is work, dvds and sleep. You might find yourself feeling incredibly lonely one day with no stories to tell. If I were you, I would try to find something to do with people. It might be awkward and uncomfortable at first but at the end of the day you'll probably be able to look back to how you are now and find yourself being a lot happier and relaxed than you are.

watched both episodes of Torchwood tonight. o.O ehh? this is one bizzare programme. It's quite entertaining, in a way, but I'm not entirely convinced about 'Dr. Who with boobs' or whatever the concept is.

finally saw Hellboy. this got good reviews and from the trailers i just did not believe a word of it. fortunatly, this is actually quite good afterall. Hellboy himself is an interesting character and the storyline is certianly interesting and it has a truly unique oddball wit too it. Having seen this and the amazing screw on head, I can safely say I need to catch up with the work of the guy who wrote the hellboy comics. 7/10

I should try and record a feed of me and my buddy Stuart unleashing a few sick moves on SCII. We used to be amazing at that game. We're still good but we rarely reach the ballet like dueling we used to get to anymore.

Outrage: my dvd copy is some kind of bastardised cut that, for some reason, deos not feature 'stick around'. It's fine to see a mans still twitching arm being blown off at the shoulder, or a dudes head exploding, but nooooooooo! not a classic one liner and knife death!
