Pans Labyrinth.
Words cannot describe how fucked up this movie is. It's a mix of civil war drama, a bit of Alice in Wonderland and a fantasy world so dark and twisted it makes Silent Hill look like Seseme Street. Genius.
Utterly brilliant stuff. film of the year.
10/10
Everyone blaming heroin addiction weakness and laziness clearly has no fucking idea what heroin does to somebody, never mind prostitutes with little to no support, likely estranged from their families and under the control of some god awful son of a bitch pimping them out and giving them drugs to keep them down.
fucks sake, you just have no idea, do you?
oh, god. not this again. Bard posts something he knows will annoy everyone on account of his fantasy metal tastes and then we all pile in and before you know it, we're actually talking about a band called Dragonforce for fucks sake.
Actually, I Just remembered United 93 was out this year. By far and away the best film I've seen in a very, very ,long time. It knocked the wind out of me. Truly remarkable work.
Churchill was a mean son of a bitch. he had some amazing insults to dish out.
one time he got sent a pair of tickets to an opening night at a play with a note from from the director reading
"Have enclosed two tickets for the opening night. Bring a friend...if you have one"
Churchill replied with:
"cannot possibly attend opening night. Will attend second...if there is one"
"you sir, are drunk!"
"yes, but in the morning I shall be sober and you, ma'am, shall still be ugly"
-exchange between some woman and Churchill at a party.
Heathen
Manbearpig, the ladder to heaven, make love not warcraft, scott tenorman must die, the scientology episode and the one about the catholic church all rule your face. Fact.
