re: kids film. I read them when I was a wee nipper myself. I'd say maybe young adult would be a better description. especially the heavy religious slant of the ending. The movies are clearly aiming for HP and narnia markets though.

I've actually listened to it now, and it's actually pretty decent. Brownie points for getting the lovely mrs Pratchett to come on. She talks sense. Shame they couldn't get any Edge or Guardian staff, mind.
