  1. I spent too long trying to decide if I should get the limited edition or normal version of this game. I chose just to get the normal version, since that Blue Shell statue doesn't really seem worth an extra £20. Knowing my luck, we'll find out its secretly a NFC toy that unlocks a bunch of cool stuff lol
  2. I had a listen to that podcast this morning after reading this post. It was really interesting what he said about working with Nintendo back then. I remember the 'Iwata asks' Mario Kart Wii and Hideki Konno expressed some frustration at how Mario Kart DS's online had turned out in that game. I guess this could have been what he was talking about. Here's a link to it, it anyone else wants a listen. Nintendo voice chat
  3. weird, I don't remember making this thread. I thought I just made it as a post in the Wii U general
  4. Seems Nintendo Europe accidentally promoted the PS Vita on twitter today: http://www.gonintendo.com/s/228822-random-time-nintendo-of-europe-accidentally-promote-vita lol
  5. Street fighter alpha 2 (snes version) is hitting the VC in america this week: http://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/nKIbju-obBdIJJ99cmzZtCYZ4F72zssA
  6. I think Nintendo are the ones at fault there personally.
  7. I wonder if, far in the future when Nintendo's next home console is out and they are re-releasing some of these games on the the next Virtual Console, if they'll try and reinstate the online modes only with new code hosted on their own servers.
  8. Well if it means anything, i had been online since 2:30 and got kicked off close to 3pm, but I was able to go back online right away and do some more races
  9. I managed to find my sisters Wii and borrowed that to play MKWii online tonight/last night. I played for a good 4 hours and had a total blast. It was awesome to be able to play it tonight and have as much fun as I did a good SIX years ago. Its sad the game's online mode won't be there anymore though, I can't tell you how much fun I've had playing online mode since the games release in 2008, my old Wii had clocked over 400 hours on it, and my replacement Wii had another 300 hours on top of that. From what I hear, Nintendo's online service will shut down today at 7am Pacific time, which is around 3pm GMT so I might still be able to get a few more games in later on. So, so long Mario Kart Wii, thanks for the memories! Audio
  10. Having two players on the gamepad is almost completely useless. The only way it would be of any use, is if both players were using Pro controllers and the TV was being used by someone else so they had to use the gamepad as their main screen. I'm genuinely confused why an obvious feature like having each player have their own screen, wasn't included to the game. The gamepad clearly can do it. I would have thought pushing two screens onto the gamepad would be taking up more power then just one. Also, Sonic Racing Transformed actually has each player having their own screen.
  11. Well, I was playing Mario Kart Wii the past week or so, just to play online before it all gets shut down and last night My Wii broke down and stopped working
  12. Seems to be the announcement of a US limited edition version of the game, exclusive to the Nintendoworld store in New york It looks like its just the same as the EU limited edition (Mario Kart plus Blue shell trophy).
  13. last night Nintendo announced that there will be a Mario Kart 8 app for Smartphones.
  14. With the NFC stuff, i like that a single figure will be used for several games. It should be interesting to see what they do with it.
  15. GameXplain have made a couple of track comparison videos:
  16. I can't thank you enough for posting this. I don't have the WWE Network so I've not been able to see it all this time. Just as you said, the last 15 minutes is very sad. You can see with Vince, he only really realised how much Warrior saw him like a father figure at the end and just as he found that out, Warrior passed away.
  17. No Nintendo hardware reveal at E3, company confirms http://http://www.computerandvideogames.com/461875/no-nintendo-hardware-reveal-at-e3-company-confirms/
  18. yeah I'm not a fan of what I've seen of the roster. I want Birdo, Diddy Kong and Bowser JR back...hopefully they'll be secret characters. I remember when MKWii first came out, it broke its release date near me and I had the game from mid April or something. At that time most people hadn't found all of the secret characters yet, so when you suddenly saw Funky Kong racing in an online game, it was a total surprise just to see that character because you would never have guessed he would be in a Mario Kart game.
  19. Very sad to hear this, Roger Rabbit was a film I watched over and over again as a kid. The character he played in that movie, Eddie Valiant was like a childhood hero to me at the time. When I heard the news about his death, i remembered this music from the movie from one of the few sad scenes: Audio He was was an amazing actor, its worth checking out some of his older films too see some of his performances over the years. RIP
  20. Sorry to be negative, but I hope they never go with this format for their Nintendo Directs again. I actually am finding it too cringe worthy to watch the UK one. Other then that, the game is looking great.
  21. I traced this image nearly a year ago, but only uploaded it last week. I like all the new stuff they've added to this game, its really cool.
