Yeah I can't imagine many people spent the £4.49 on it once they added a price tag. All the same, it doesn't seem very good that it was purchasable and within a couple of years of its release its taken away like that. It does seem odd that its being removed so quickly though. Nintendo seemed quite proud to have the app on Wii U at the time. There was even an Iwata's asks with the dev team, that of course gave us this fantastic picture:

I missed the original announcement of this, apparently the Google street view app is being taken down in a couple of days. The app itself will be discontinued on the 31st of March which means it will no longer work. [tweet]693078770073354241[/tweet] I know the app was originally free as my sister has it on her Wii U which she had since launch, but they've been charging money for it since the end of 2014, so I have to wonder if people that paid for it will get a refund.

Nintendo Directs get just as much media coverage as a press conference does and personally I feel like press conferences are getting a little outdated and stuffy to hold my interest. The long pauses between announcements for someone to walk on stage, just for the them to talk for 30 seconds to lead in to a trailer all seems unnecessary. I think revealing the NX on a Nintendo direct would be fine.

yeah that was bad timing.I had leveled up to 'Money Champion' and needed around 40 points to get to Money King and couldn't get back on after that. Team Fitness won, which i'm actually really surprised by, as half the time I was playing during the Splatfest, is was putting us against other Money teams. When we did fight a Team Fit, we'd win. Was fun as always though.

yeah this is screwed up, whatever the cause of this, i know that I could see other peoples account details on my account page every time I hit refresh, which means there's a chance someone was doing that to mine. I do not have any CC details saved on my account though.

Apparently the Wii U version of this will be getting the 1.8.8 update that all the other versions received recently (apart from the Vita) next year. I feel like this game was 3/4 complete when it launched but they have added so much since then its been more then a complete game for a long time now.

yeah as I understand it they are part of Rhapsody now. Reading around a few places, it seems people are just seeing the name Napster and then genuinely believing its the same thing it was back in 1999 and sneering at Nintendo over it.

ha! First song I ever downloaded was Hulk Hogans Real American theme. Pretty sure I got it off Kazaa though. I actually wouldn't mind knowing what Napster is like now, I assume its pretty much like Spotify and the rest of the music streaming services out there, so i'll probably give it a go on the 30 day free trial.

The Developers of this game did an interview with Gameinformer today. Couple of things of note: So it looks like the map/weapons/gear updates will stop after January. It's a shame that its coming to an end but I'm not complaining about that, the support for this game over the past six months has been great. Plus the two new maps they just announced will keep my interest going in this game until at least February. However this seems odd to me. I'm not convinced that changing the map rotation to three to would greatly affect the challenge of the game. They themselfs up the map rotation to Three during Splatfests...
