  2. oh no no no
  3. Jakks are working on some Starfox figures, due out at the end of this year:
  4. New Map tomorrow night. Moray Towers Should be out around 3am BST Saturday morning
  5. its odd because as soon as the Splatfest ended, I played a few more normal games and there was no lag at all
  6. I had several more "1 vs 4 " matches during Splatfest. It was was funny the first time, but after it happened the 5th time it just got annoying. A great deal of the games I played had really bad lag, which i thought wouldn't be a problem during this event since you should be playing against players in the same region.
  7. just came here to post the same thing, Its actually happened to me twice tonight lol
  8. My disappointment stems from what I took away from their direct, and that is Nintendo are done with the Wii U. In terms of new titles, I really didn't get much to look forward to outside of the the games we knew about. Instead of a full blown Animal Crossing game, its getting an Animal crossing party game that needs Amiibo's to work. Granted, its free, but even as a Animal crossing fan I am finding it very difficult to care The other new game shown was a Mario tennis title. So as a Wii U owner I just feel let down. On one hand I can't blame them from moving on, since they are a business and the Wii U has done poorly. But then, I feel a lot of the reasons the Wii U did badly was their own doing since day one.
  9. yeah hopefully it won't effect anywhere else outside of France. Also, someone posted this on Gaf, thought it was funny
  10. Yeah I'm sure Reggie is fully aware of the real situation with the Wii U, he just can't stand there and say it. Just stating the obvious here, but he has to put a positive spin on it. I really do hope that the message is sinking into Nintendo though. There are very solid reasons as to why the Wii U is in this situation and a lot of it was called out all the way back when they showed the console off in 2012.
  11. Adam Boyes was on Giantbomb a few hours ago and talked a bit about Sony's role with Shenmue 3:
  12. yeah this was exactly how I felt while watching it live. The fun intro and then the section dedicated to Star Fox was perfect but then it all went down hill from there. A few times my interest went up only for it to come crashing down, such as them showing a new Animal Crossing game for the Wii U, which I immediately assumed was a full blown AC game, only to find out its a party game that needs Amiibo's to work. I also noticed that 'Project Giant Robot' game was absent this year.
  13. Nintendo have been passing out a QR code for a Shigeru Miyamoto Mii, seems it isn't region locked like some special Mii's in the past, as it works on my UK bought 3DS: QR code if anyone else wants it:
  14. yeah the puppet stuff was awesome. Someone made a video just of all the puppet stuff in one video:
  15. I look back on the 64 in the same way, great games but large gaps between releases and not very good third party support. In fact the N64 was the console that got me buying a secondary console to keep up with all of the games I was missing. However I have to say, at least back then we had Rare to fill in the gaps around Nintendo releases, and that made a big difference. That and games like Mario Kart and Star fox coming out within the first year. I've mentioned this a couple of times on this forum but I feel like a lot of the problems that Nintendo have had with the Wii U are the same ones they have had 20 years ago and its insane that they can't seem to fix it.
  16. I'm not so hung up on the graphics and think the gameplay looks like it'll be a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to this and Mario Maker.
  17. I'll look back on the games fondly, but the long gaps without games and the almost non-existent third-party support is also something i'll always associate with the Wii U.
  18. yeah this is looking pretty damn good. Definitely going to check this out
  19. oh man, that wasn't too good at all. Apart from the presentation with puppets of course.
  20. I will probably get one of each as well some more Amiibo's leaked:
  21. I guess I what I'm saying is that i was a little skeptical that they were holding back content and were going to drip feed it over time. I appreciated why they were doing it (to force everyone to get familiar with the maps and weapons etc) but wasn't sure if it would work out for the best. But now, three weeks on, I think the pace that they are releasing this stuff seems about right to me.
  22. Pretty much every day, right now I'm playing Splatoon a lot but before that I was still playing Left 4 Dead 2 most nights online.
  23. I'm quite impressed at the rate Nintendo are rolling out/unlocking content for this game. I think it does a good job in keeping the game fresh in line with the people playing it. Every time I think my interest is starting to wane they announce a new map or weapon, which in turn makes me start playing it more. Their pacing of it has been pretty good so far.
