The graphics card is pretty meh Taken from Tom's Hardware. Basically you ain't gonna be playing many (if any) games on it, and despite the name it isn't a DX10 card. To put it in perspective, my 2 year old £700 laptop has an Mobility X700, which sits 3 levels above the Go 8400

What about buying a seperate numberpad? Most of these have programable keys on them too so that'd remove 2 of you're needs Or buy a keyboard light to light the keyboard after dark

It's near silent, i just need to replace the GPU fan (or the GPU) with something quieter. The blue lights are begining to piss me off though, theres no way to turn them off + my computer was doing an update when i wanted to go to bed the other night. I had to try and sleep with the room lit up blue Theres a sensible idea, will add to my "to do" list

Im begining to sound like a broken record here but Archos are you're best bet. Still untouched where portable video playback is concerned: better compatability, features and screens than all of it's competitors. I'm genuinely shocked Apple didn't release a serious competitor to they're products today! I was expecting a proper video iPod?!?!?

http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=215572 Not much in the way of media keys (volume control and not a lot else) but it meets the rest of you're criteria

Dual Boot Vista with XP. Only way you're gonna manage it (afaik)

Unfortunately not, it's a 19" (941BW). Very nice monitor as it turns out, it was an impulse buy when i decided i couldn't afford a 22" HP2207 but still wanted DVI and HDCP

Apple Press Conference (New iPods, iPhone price drop)

I think you misunderstood me. I like the look of the Touch, i just think it's feature set and storgage capacity sucks. IMO its way overpriced for what it is/does -
Its my wifi dongle, the PCI one is being gay. Hopefully i can fix it soon, cost me £25

Apple Press Conference (New iPods, iPhone price drop)

Which is why Apple should have looked at it and thought "this is a good product, a bit ugly though" and made a similar but better looking product rather than the retarded touch The idea of product design is that you design a product, then make it look nice. The Touch is straight out of the Marketing department rather than the design department, they made it look nice then tried to figure out what they could fit inside -

My advice to Apple? Try harder next time: http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/543276/art/archos/704-wifi-40-gb-multimedia.html?itag=6507 Does more than the iPod Touch and has 40GB of storage rather than the Touch's 16GB. Only thing it lacks is being able to purchase music over WiFi On the scratching front, you could buy a case but then you are loosing the whole point of having a good design in the first place... -

Did you're portable CD player + 2 CDs cost you the best part of £300 though? -

16GB? $400? Taking the piss right? The new Nano looks crap, and the new iPod is the same old iPod with more storage than i could possibly need. Well Apple, thats a BIG FAIL for me. Decision made, my next music player is an Archos: http://www.archos.com/?country=global〈=en -
Spiders are awesome, i can't see what people are scared of tbh. The only thing in this thread that would shit me up is the image Dante posted, cause whatever created that amount of web is probably either A) Very Large or B) Numerous. The sort of spiders we have running around our houses in this country don't bother me at all, not sure how i'd react abroad though...

Exactly, they deserve a slap. All 50,000 of them. I got bored and went to watch Babyshambles, in the smallest tent. Mad gig!

I just use 2700mAH rechargables, afaik these last longer than a play + charge kit and i got 4 and the charger for a tenner! Then i keep a wired controller for those moments where i manage to kill all 4 batteries at the same time

It's down to the device there though Caris, the only actual bonus of HDMI is one less Digital-Analogue-Digital conversion. This equates to a drop in noise but nothing more. HDMI also has the bonus of being able to talk to the display device, the PS3/360/Whatever can tell the TV to use certain settings to optimise the display. Basically you're set is probably configured a lot better when you use HDMI vs Component

Zero Tollerance is fine by me, but tbh i don't think this country is really in a bad enough state to actually need it Crime ain't that rife and so called "Gang Wars" are pretty lame considering whats going on elsewhere

Mine had better die between now and February, i want to take it back to Game rather than ship it to Microsoft for repairs! Can't believe i forgot about Super Puzzle Fighter I bought Small Arms yesterday, half way through the download i suddenly thought: "Shit! Puzzle Fighter is out and i ain't got the points for it now!" Ah well, hopefully Small Arms will entertain me for a bit
