  1. Who actually is buying the Orange Box on 360 then? Im trying to decide between the 360 version and PC version, tis a no-brainer if everyone who is buying it is getting it on PC (especially given it's out sooner and is cheaper)
  2. So, instead of concentrating on who isn't getting the Orange Box why don't we start talking about who is? Im guessing everyone who is getting it is buying it on PC now?
  3. I've just noticed how close the CoD4 and UT3 release dates are to each other. Bugger Im gonna have to choose between them...
  4. What exactly tells you that CoD4 will be better? Sure the beta was fun but it's still just another generic war shooter, much in the same way that Pro Evo is another generic sports game (im not calling it crap). Im pretty sure you haven't player TF2 or Portal, both of which look to be amazing and very different to most other games out there In terms of team structure and tactics TF2 looks way better than the other FPS's coming this year, hence why im getting it on PC. It pretty much a solid fact that most Live gamers are brainless run-and-gun morons (backed up by how many people get confused by anything in Halo 3 that isn't Slayer)
  5. Deffo 60Hz. 60Hz, like RGB Scart has been standard for years. I used to worry about this sort of stuff too, then again the TV i had back then didn't even have a scart socket, everything was done via RF! (the arial socket)
  6. Nope, McAfee offers worse protection than AVG Free. A computer mag did a study a while back and compared 20 AV programs. AVG Free came 5th (payed version 4th) whereas McAfee came something like 18th...
  7. It's good, but not as good as it's competition. It's basically a stripped down M series to the point where it isn't an M series at all. Think of it as the R87 with 100Hz technology. At that price i'd look at the Sharp RD2E, Sony KDL-D3000 or Panasonic LXD70. Those are the 3 best 32" sets out there. My money would go on the Sharp, the Panny is great but for £600 it looks like a piece of junk (i've seen better looking Bush sets) and the Sony is a little too expensive (best price around seems to be £610, typical £699)
  8. Maybe they should take Shotty Snipers out of Slayer all together? It's Marmite, some of us love it and others hate it. I know i'd play it as a seperate catagory
  9. Figured i might be... TF2 Vids http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i68cEsALWt0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvC5aWrrSx8 Just been watching Portal videos. That game looks like a mind fuck! Im hyping myself up a lot now lol
  10. In what game? If you on about Halo 3 then the co-op is 4 players max, 16 is the max size of a party I really, really can't wait for Wednesday! TF2 Day!!!! You up for some games Jordan? I really don't get how anyone (sane) can be passing this game up? It's got more charm than anything i've seen in a long time, layered over a solid multiplayer FPS. Heck, it even looks amazing! Watch the Meet the *insert character name here* videos, truly awesome! (will post links) lol (i assume you're joking?)
  11. I wonder what the torries would have said if Tony Blair called an election 5 months after David Cameron took over the party? Brown needs some time to settle in, it's no surprise there's no election yet
  12. Yeah, but other than size theres no advantages. I personally find laptop mice very uncomfortable, full size mice on the other hand fit nicely in to the palm
  13. If thats true... (can someone confirm plz, via pm?)
  14. Shotty Snipers ftw! Best Slayer mode by far!
  15. As above ^ Or, if you need better security then Kaspersky. You have to pay for it though
  16. I wouldn't recommend a laptop mouse at all. If it's for games then buy a full-size wired mouse. Don't go too cheap either, anything under £15 will likely die within months (i made this mistake a lot, it costs more in the long run). Personally i'd go with Logitech, my current mouse cost me £20 and has lasted 2 years! Discontinued now, otherwise i'd recommend it Depending on price, 2900XT
  17. Yes, the same thing will happen. Basically you have 1080p sources: Blu Ray HD DVD PS3 720p Sources: SkyHD Xbox 360 (i know it can do 1080p, but most of the games are 720p) BBC/ITV Freesat (not out for a while yet) 480p Sources: Terrestrial TV Freeview Sky Virgin DVD Wii Go with what best fits you're needs. If you don't have any 1080p sources then theres no point owning a 1080p TV, they are more expensive and won't give as good a picture. Right now 720p is the best resolution, it hits the happy middle ground. Most 480p sources upscale ok to it and the few 1080p sources that are around can all play in 720p. In the future 1080p might replace 720p, but then again it might not. It all depends on market support and whether or not the likes of Sky will launch a 1080p service (they might not, it's expensive to broadcast 720p as it is!)
  18. Yup, deal 1 is better. It's actually good value, whereas deal 2 is pretty sucky
  19. Or maybe in the past?
  20. Microsoft own Halo. EDIT: Never mind, didn't realise there was another page lol I really do question the value of Bungie tbh. Sure, they make good games but without Halo are they really worth the high dev costs? They're next project could well be a very expensive flop...
  21. I keep meaning to buy some decent headphones, i brake them too quickly though. On average a pair of earphones last me 2 months, might switch to full-size headphones and see if i can keep them alive a bit longer!
  22. Would be nice if people didn't cheat though... *cough* Jim *cough*
  23. It's a real problem. The thorn in the side of HDTVs unfortunately
  24. It seems to be as much Microsoft's decision as it is Bungie's tbh. Bungie, like so many other MGS studios have a very low turn out. It isn't surprising, they have very little need to churn games out quickly because they are working from a blank cheque. This is very unprofitable for Microsoft, they kept Bungie because Halo sold Xboxes rather than because Bungie made a lot of money. With the Halo Trilogy ended and Bungie wanting to start on new franchises where is the benefit in the 2 companies staying together? Microsoft would have the financial burden and Bungie the restricted freedom. This way Microsoft will still get console shifting titles without the financial burden and Bungie are free to make games for other platforms. I could see a few Wii titles being churned out fast, Bungie will need to turn titles around quickly to stay profitable and the Wii is the perfect platform for doing so
  25. The 4400 is great, i think they messed up on the marketing there though. I seem to remember it being sold as a horror-type series? Heroes is much more fluffy and accessible to the average viewer
