  1. Oh no! Only 24000 pixels per inch! Whatever will i do! Seriously mate, thats higher quality than most TVs! It's on a par with a 32" HDTV Considering most video put on to it will be downloaded stuff and DVD rips the resolution is very good. Also, what are all these Touch comparisons for? I hate the way the Touch has suddenly been elevated to the level of a technological milestone, it's an overpriced MP3 player and a poor PMP (compared to the competition). Ignoring the Touch the Zune is a pretty good product, it competes well with the other products in the market and adds a few unique features as well as a very clean interface. The possibility of a Microsoft Marketplace that serves Media Centre, Xbox and Zune seems very tempting too, i bet it isn't far off. Im very tempted to buy one, it seems like a very good device at a good price. Best of all, i won't have to put up with iTunes sillyness (i.e. the whole it changing the meta tags in my library so that WMP and Media Centre can't read them)
  2. Forge really is the biggest pile of shite ever. EVAR! Just tried using it as a proper map editor, complete wank. Can hardly do anything and anything i can do is fiddly
  3. Yes they do, I use WPA-PSK and it works fine It's WPA2 they don't support, but that could be added with a firmware update if it ever becomes widespread enough to be an issue. The wireless adaptor is great, one of the best i've used. It may be expesive but decent wireless adaptors are, i paid £40 for the one in my new PC (and it doesn't bloody work! Cheers Netgear ). It might be an idea to look at a wireless Ethernet bridge instead though if you are likely to have more stuff that you want to make wireless in the future
  4. Why would delivery matter? Laptops Direct are massively cheaper than the high street, they could charge £50 delivery and most people would still be quids in I'd look at business laptops for that sort of work. They tend to be cheap, well make and have all the clutter cut out (like graphics cards, excessive RAM, clutter-ware, remote controls etc)
  5. iPod *hides* Im kidding, im kidding. My iPod did break, twice, but it's hardly the worst piece for hardware i've ever used. That title goes to the Microsoft Wireless Optical Notebook Mouse. Cost me £25, lasted 2 months before it just died. Took it back to PC World (bought it there because of a deal that was on at the time, mouse + bag for £40) and they gave me some bullshit about how it was my fault it broke for "overloading" it with a 2700mAh rechargeable AA. Yes, apparently that mouse can't take anything over 2000 and therefore the warranty was void... I replaced it with a Logitech which cost me £18. Nearly 2 years later that mouse is still going strong :p EDIT: Actually, i might rank my Acer laptop slightly worse than that. Not gonna go in to that story again though
  6. New the whole lot would be worth about £350, so £150 - £200 second hand?
  7. I'd take anyone that knows (or can learn quickly) how to load an M60, keep the ammo coming and cover my ass with some reasonable skill (so probably Fish). Although i'd prefer a war without fire arms, im a better hand with sword, bow and crossbow than i am with a gun. Been using those weapons for years (sport, im not some mass murderer)
  8. how long has it been like that Uzit?
  9. I'd like to see Master Chief return, but in a new story. No more Halo rings, Covenant or Flood please...
  10. 19 days til TF2? Hmm, now i've got to decide whether to buy it on 360 or PC...
  11. But Cortana says the portal cut the ship in 2 when it closed (unless im remembering it wrong). If that happened then only half could have made it through
  12. As long as they are legal ISO files then no
  13. I figured this would be better in another thread, then we can talk about the plot without spoiling it for anyone. Assume here that everyone has completed the game through and seen the Legendary ending. Im a little confused about the ending after the cutscene. How come the Arbiter make it through the portal back to earth and Master Chief and Cortana didn't?
  14. Just completed the campaign first time round. Man i hate the Flood! Now to try the whole thing on Legendary (co-op)
  15. Sorry for the invite spam last night guys. It's just a lot easier to invite everyone than to check to see what every single player is doing Was pretty awesome, even if some of the game types were crap. That Ninjanaught game was mental lol, reminded me of Predator
  16. No chance. As said above, 360 repairs are proving too costly On the note of people buying 360s, on Halo 3 launch day i saw some bloke bring in his PS3, 5 games and 2 controllers. Guess what he got for all that? A Halo 3 edition console and a copy of Halo 3. Thats it. Must have been £600 worth of kit there and Gamestation gave him a £320 trade in lol
  17. People keep mentioning Jericho, will have to give it a download i guess... Is it just me or does that DoW announcement not say who the new races are?
  18. but Quake Wars is only £18 on play.com so they probably overcharged you too
  19. Only time you ever want to use 2 GPUs is if you want to drive 3 or more monitors, they consume way more power and have tons more driver issues than single cards
  20. Vote: Nobody
  21. This game truly is awesome, glad i bought it. Shits all over Halo, which i found kinda generic and cheesy. Never did Halo 2 single player so can't comment on that Supposed to be round at my girlfriend's tonight but i don't wanna go! GRRRR
  22. I got eet! Got an official VGA cable today, and picked up Halo in town for £32! Sainsbury's for the win!
  23. Seems like a good idea, UK TV Gold 2 wasn't exactly catchy or a good name. At least Dave is catchy
  24. Spoiler tags please guys, coming in here to post a comment like "can't wait to watch this ep" and seeing all this stuff (didn't read it, so might be wrong.) isn't nice, i had to skim down the page as quickly as possible
  25. how many people haven't got they're copy now?
