What you need to do is find out what inputs you're card can take. The Gamecube can output RGB and Composite, unless you're card can take either of these you're wasting you're time. Im pretty sure the x1950 series take composite, might test it out tomorrow (can't be arsed tonight, last time i installed the catalyst driver it locked up my system)

Anyone interested in participating in a mafia forum game?
McPhee replied to chairdriver's topic in General Chit Chat
Mafia is great, played it on another forum Count me in! Im supposed to be on here every day anyway -
Well, my trip to town was fruitless Came back with no Halo 3 and a VGA cable thats knackered (everything is red). The media remote i nabbed for a tenner seems to work ok though, difficult to test it when the screens all red and eye-burning Ah well, will sort it all out tomorrow

It takes time though. How many years is it since RE4 first came out now? Capcom will likely finish RE5 on 360 and PS3 first (due to them being pretty much the same version), then look at porting to other mediums. Wii is a big job, not just because of hardware limitations but because of the controller too, they'd be practically building from the ground up. By the time they finish the 360/PS3 version (another 2 years?), then get the Wii version done (12-18 months?) we could easily be into the next generation - making a Wii2 version more likely

Thats what im doing, will be getting the PC version instead though. Knights Of The Nine, Shivering Isles and tons of custom content for £25? Sounds like a right bargain and meanst i can trade Oblivion in to get Halo 3

Will look that one up. Steam is unbelievably shit isn't it? It's taken almost 2 hours to install HL2 and CS:S, decrypt them and download the updates! If i'd remembered it took this long then i'd have installed UT2004 instead Anyone still play Guild Wars? I could do with some help finishing Prophecies, too difficult with henches and the missions i need to do only have the odd few people in them

fuck. i have work on Wednesday! Just remembered it's 6:30am til 2:30pm too, guess thats my plan of going to the Gamestation midnight launch up the spout then... I'd be up for co-op from 3/4pm onwards. May aswell steal Skunky's idea and start another list 4pm onwards: 1. Me 2. 3. 4.

I've got to buy from a games shop - short on cash Im going on the off-chance that one of the stores starts selling a day early, they normally do

I wouldn't hold my breath. Nobody knows when Resi 5 is due out yet, if it follows the Resi 4 pattern then it would be just as likely that a port is made to Wii's successor. Porting a 360/PS3 game to Wii is quite a big job!

Im kind of gutted i sold most of my PC games now. Im bored, went to find something to play and i only have all the Total War games, Guild Wars + Nightfall, HL2 and UT2004 left Hell, even my 360 collection is down to 5 games! Think i need to start getting my collection back, any recommendations? No MMO games, i wouldn't play them enough to warrant the subscription

Im gonna start looking in town tomorrow. Quick browse before work, then run into town after work (finish at 5) and see in anyone has started selling. If not them im going home, getting a shower, going to pub and heading for Gamestation's midnight launch. Will pick up a VGA cable too, high-def goodness ftw!

Vista problem, constantly reinstalling drivers
McPhee replied to Shorty's topic in General Chit Chat
Best solution - Reinstall Windows and create a second partition. Install all you're programs to c:/, create a system back-up and then use the second partition for everything else. Then just use the back-up if you're system goes tits-up again, saves a good couple of hours -
i thought it was just some chance encounter lol, didn't realise you joined on purpose

Gears anyone? Im hosting now

Im going to my local games shop, need to do trade-ins. Hopefully Tesco stock it at £30-£35, they've done it a few times with big 360 games

I'd say September '08 at the earliest, Microsoft like they're high profile Christmas releases

Yes. IDE is very, very slow. That will be you're system's bottleneck, it might not be the only cause but it's certainly a contributing factor

Yet Another "Find Me A Graphics Card" Thread...

Do what ATI did and put an x in front? -
yes, but theres money to be made and stupid geeks to exploit

Submerge it in mineral oil? Attach a big ass heatsink and only operate it in a wind tunnel? Water cooling?

Theres no native keyboard and mouse support on 360 at all unfortunately. Not surprising though, Microsoft want to keep the PC and 360 as separate as possible

The new night shift manager at work is safe as fuck! We were talking about games + stuff and he offered to unlock the cupboard where all the Halo 3 copies are locked so we could play them early! He's got his copy and let a couple of other people at work buy them, only condition was that we paid in cash (so none of the other management find out who got the copies). Shame im skint and need to trade stuff in to buy it I could have been taunting you lot right now!

Map Editor? OK now im interested in this game! Epic's problem wasn't not being allowed to bundle a map editor in with the game, the problem was they wanted to allow custom user content to be downloaded from the PC. Microsoft don't like this idea because it will let non-ms certified scripts to be run on the 360, which could in-turn lead to the console being hacked.

it'll play anything around at the moment very well
