I'm gonna go and agree with Danny boy here, Halo's impact may not seem particularly important these days, but if you look at the console FPS scene, it's positively boomed since Halo, it's done quite a lot for the genre.

They can be enjoyed by people of any age; my English teacher also loves them, they wouldn't have sold as well as they did had they been aimed at adults. As a matter of fact, the majority of great contemporary literature I've come acruss has been aimed at children.
