  1. Maybe (I don't want to say "probably," because I want to look forward to it.) I Opeth would go and release a new album...at least I know for sure that it's going to be nothing less than the album of whatever year it's released in.
  2. No. There are a few video blogs on the net of the guys in the studio doing stupid shit, but no music to speak of so far. I have got high hopes for this one. Come Clarity was a step in the right direction after Soundtrack To Your Escape, so here's hoping that they can build on that.
  3. Yeah. I liked the music in the opening trailer. Atmospheric.
  4. This game is looking like the best thing ever. I wonder what the music's like...
  5. 1. Mikael Akerfeldt 2. Yasunori Mitsuda 3. James Hetfield
  6. That's haaarsh :p. No way. I love my hair.
  7. Yeah, I've got one like this: But I can't seem to find one that has a 3mm headphone output.
  8. This is me when the reefer madness kicks in. I look the same in every photo of me .
  9. Ah jeebus. Does anyone know where I can get headphones with an AV audio input on them? I stupidly bought a VGA cable, but I have no way to get sound .
  10. You do realise that theres a possibility some of have already heard of them?
  11. Tits. They don't have a right to comment on anything until they get rid of their preconceptions of videogames being for kids. Not only that, but it's not like it's freely available, you have to buy it. Not something you are forced to do is it? "Kids killing kids." Pfft, well if I was the kid of a person stupid enough to make comments as reactionary as that, I'd seriously consider removing myself from the gene pool.
  12. Their live show is more about the wow factor of fireworks and other pointless shit rather than an exhibition of any actual musical ability. "Wow, look a piano solo! Were so profound!"
  13. To be honest, if you like Muse, that's fine. I suppose it could be a lot worse. Just don't expect everyone who isn't completely ignorant to lavish them in praise and attention.
  14. From who? NME? A quality publication to be sure. Or perhaps the grammys? That absolute farce that once nominated Jethro Tull for an award in the Heavy Metal Category. Great argument. I suppose since we're supposed to judge who the worlds leading bands are through record sales and award nominations why don't we just crown Michael Jackson the don of all things musical? Sleep is for the weak
  15. Muse are a bit shit. It's like, fuck, look at me, I can play a fucking scale!! And then throw in some totally out of place quasi-operatic vocals. They're frighteningly dull. The only thing Muse have ever done thats listenable is a bit of In Your World, and thats only because it's ripped off Toccata and Fugue in D minor by Bach.
  16. Zeitgeist? Blondie? I'm assuming you're familiar with Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzie, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jethro Tull etc??.
  17. Now now, I'll do no such thing. The boy has a valid point :p. Ah. You browsin on your Wii?
  18. Can't disagree with that I guess. But it's only the tip of the iceberg. The only band out of that list that are truly worth my time are Zeppelin and maybe Queen when mercury isn't being a tit. TH and a little AC/ DC doesn't hurt either. Blondie might be good for someone who doesn't pay much attention to what they're listening to, but I prefer my music a bit more personal. Then again, my experience of Blondie only reaches as far as the tracks on pub jukeboxes. I can't stand 70's punk bands. Especially the talentless bunch of wasters known as the Ramones. That needed to be said. . Where the fuck have you been? It's aboot time .
  19. To your knowledge. I doubt that there are very many 70's/80's bands that you've actually heard or made an active effort to understand. But don't worry, naturally you can't expect to be born knowing better. Unless you're me.
  20. Let me just make obvious the irony of this situation. Yeah bitches. The Bard is back in town. In other news, Iced Earth are great in small doses.
  21. Hole more angsty than Nirvana? Get the fuck out. I never thought it was possible for me to hear pretense in Grunge until I heard hole. Actually, that's not entirely true...It has more to do with Pearl Jam. Nirvana would be dull if it wasn't for Kurt's amazing ability to portray the unbearable pain of his situation. That's where Nirvana's brilliance lies, I can't think of a person I was more able to identify with in my early angsty teenage years... Anders Friden is another good one though.
  22. Haha. Come off it, it has to be their dullest song. Now, Heart Shaped Box. That's genius. Well not quite, but it's good.
