  1. No, it's not good, because it gives those people an oversimplified impression of what videogames are. Speaking of "me too" titles, the Wii market is inundated with such fodder. Nintendo have really done nothing new this generation that appeals to me as a gamer (TP, MP3, Mario Galaxy aren't new, they're testament to the fact that things were fine the way they were before. Sure, Nintendo may not have been making nearly as much cash back then, but considering their recent output, I can't say that I give a shit.) Ironically, the best thing the Wii has to offer is its collection of retro games. I don't play games like Wii Sports because, in plain terms, they fucking suck. And Wii Fit is not a game, it's a fitness tool. I don't want that. Sure, Nintendo may have come up with a new way to interact, but seriously, it stands as nothing more than a gimmick when the games themselves serve as hardly more than fairly hollow attempts to utilise and justify said controls. Not only that, there is also the fact that the motion controller is pretty flawed in itself. There has yet to be a game that makes good use of gestures, further than waving the controller like a lobotomised monkey and praying that shit happens on screen. Zakk and Wiki, a game that I had fun with, and probably one of the only games on Wii that actually would not be better on next gen consoles (gotta love Capcom), is still missing a fair amount of accuracy. Nintendo seems at war with the best of itself, over simplifying it's flagship franchises and actually coming up with flashier, yet inferior versions of games it released on Gamecube (Smash Bros, and Mario Kart come to mind, although how that pile of anal discharge managed to outdo the fecal matter that was Double Dash is quite obviously something as easily explained as the hordes of sycophantic forum drones who seem to class Sonic and The Secret Rings as something worthwhile...) O the Nintendo freaks are singin...
  2. Can't believe I'm still awake, got no sleep, and I'm not even tired, which is odd. Did nothing much yesterday, watched about 12 episodes of Lost, never got into it before, quite enjoying it.
  3. Sound plan, although we will be drinking in the park anyway right? I'll bring some booze with me. Don't worry, it won't be laced with tylenol.
  4. Yeah, I think it is, but not through way of the Wii. The Wii has really done fuck all the advance or improve gaming beyond what it was in the previous generation, all it's done is pandered to the ignorant masses who were never really going to take gaming as anything more than a way to pass an idle hour. Miyamoto is a king though.
  5. Burst Limit Demo is shite. The Tenkaichi series on Wii does it infinitely better. Bourne Conspiracy one is pretty good if a little generic.
  6. Oh you gotta be shittin me
  7. I saw this last night. Hands down the worst film I have ever seen. People joke about bad shit making them want to kill themselves, but I was truly contemplating suicide all the way throughout this, and seriously, I am not shitting you.
  8. I'm up for it tonight, as always.
  9. Gears tonight lads?
  10. I'll stay Friday and Saturday. My uncle wants me to stay with him on the Sunday though.
  11. Dragonforce are pretty lol. It's not really serious music if you get my drift, they're basically pop music but with shred guitar. Mind blowing guitarists though. There are some completely instrumental metal albums, but I'm not a huge fan of bands like Pelican, so if you want completely instrumental stuff download these songs: The Jesters Dance - In Flames Orion - Metallica Man Made God - In Flames At The Gates - Into The Dead Sky Trivium - The Crusade To Live is to Die - Metallica Call of Ktulu - Metallica Those are the ones that stand out as being most accessible and are great songs imo. There are many others, but metal is a genre that's best to ease yourself into.
  12. Haha, you like bleed? It's one of the least melodic and one of the most heavy songs on that album, the timings really are really fucking with my head. Not exactly accessible stuff. If you sincerely want to try out some metal, I don't really think Meshuggah should be your first port of call.
  13. I can't wait to get my hands on Maxi. This game is gonna be ace. I hope there is some sort of online tournament mode where 8+ players can play together. Would be epic.
  14. Just got Obzen by Meshuggah. Claaaaaasic shit. So many great metal albums already this year... Listened to "The Lotus Eater" off Opeth's upcoming album and it blows me awaaaay. It's gonna be a good year. Still listening to Ihsahn though, angL is such a great album.
  15. I don't do daring things. Although I broke into my old college during half term with my best mate and trashed a history room. Payback for 7 years of tedium.
  16. Jesus, that was embarrassing. I talked so much shit lol. Yeah man, monday sounds good.
  17. Yeah I know. I think it's cause that keg had been lying under my bed for about 3 months. I still feel a bit ill.
  18. Hard to teh core. Yes. I'm a lightweight. Roffle.
  19. Ugh, went through about 2.5 litres of Heineken today. I feel ill.
  20. I have got the worst head fucking ache ever. Fun matches tonight lads .
  21. I'll probably be on way before that. Where teh fook is Nintenchris?
  22. Depends on whether you're looking for something new or not. It's a good/great thrash album, definately worth a look in if you liked New Order and Legacy, but it's not something you'll be blown away by.
